I feel your pain.
I have been a Creature Handler since day one. It probably took me a while to get there but the idea of beeing one appealed to me. From day one on Chimeara server me and two of my friends joined together with all kinds of people and the game time was sooo fun since we did all kind of things together to gain our precious experience and learn new skills. The feeling of beeing in a Star Wars environment and playing was great. It still is sometimes but I must admit there is sorrow when I think of the combat revamp ....
It should have been here a long long time ago. Our pets are the only thing that has been changed (wild pets too) and thus made it so easy for most to kill any creature. When buffed and eating some food people can kill pretty much anything alone. It takes away the fun from the game since what makes a mmorpg fun is other players. I hardly talk to any if it is not to train pets or maybe once in a while teach somone. It is spreading so much that I feel lost.

One should start up a town that has only players that group and never us docs for buffing. Only on big events would it be allowed and then we all go out to hunt together anyway. If we are to do missions like killing Fambaa on naboo or any other creature on a planet we can do this without buffs. I know since I regularly do this still with me my pets and some close friends. But it is more fun when other players also join in. Only problem is they are too busy getting exp for their *=#¤ing jedi.

I cant honestly give you any encouragement. This game is dead, especially for CH. Zero content, zero abilities for CH other than to sit in Coronet playing with you pets. You cant actually use them in the GCW, you cant use them in PvP and you cant use them in meangingful PvE either (anything you can use a pet for you can just solo if you have a combat mastery)
I really loved this game but I am bored the second I log on these days. Its a crime!

I find the answer is good people, the game is so badly fubared but there are still a lot of great people in the game. We hang out together, hunt together and have fun despite there being no content and no real positive in being a CH.
So my advice is come back but do some research as to which guild on your particular server has the mindset you need to enjoy yourself. You are still going to come back to this forum and complain that we suck, but you can at least relax and have some fun and adventures.
You will be okay in the mid-range content/encounters but for high-end encounters you just need to get a few pets with ranged attacks and just tag along for the ride. I find CHs have the best personalities because you need to have a sense of humour if you are a master of this profession.
There is light at the end of the tunnel, granted, it might be the distant glow of a jedi lightsabre but we can still see it... just.

Thats not distant. I see that3 or4 times pertrip to cornet.

Ok here it is.
I started playing starwars when it first came out and played it up untile november last year, then being how im in the navy I had to go to sea for 6(months). So after returning I found out my starwars galaxies game was gone, lost. So it took me until the first of this month to go out and buy another copy to install on the computer and so I start playing my beloved starwars again.....( For one day) I was so shocked on the first day back, everyone sits around getting buffed, hunting alone. I seriously almost came to tears when I seen what had happend to this wonderful game. Well what put me over the edge is no body wanted to hunt with me and my pets, back in the day I had to beat people off with a stick, everyone wanted to hunt with me. Well needless to say i was so mad that I unistalled the game the same day that I installed it. Everyday since then i get on here and read about all of the adventures You all are having. I wish the game was like it use to be before i had to leave it was so fun and now..... I want to play the game but i dont know if i can stand it or not I may be bound to reading the adventures of others instead of creating my own...
