What the topic asks
the bantha, dune bantha or the bull bantha? I would choose the bull bantha, but I heared it should be the slowest... I need the pet only as mount

The bull bantha is best, however this requires CH 1.1.1.1. The Standard bantha orbantharequires two boxes and the dune bantha requires three.

They just look slow. I had a bull bantha, he seemed to keep up just fine with the other mounts when we went hunting. I assumed all the mounts had the same speed.

The mounts are all supposed to move at the same speed in the normal mode...the speed changes hit when they gallop, and I've never seen a speed test comparison that included banthas and cu pas.
It's said the cu pa has the best terrain negotiation speed of any mount, though.

In tests done many, many months ago, it was found that the main differences are trade-offs between endurance and speed. Dewback/Bantha type creatures have a slower top speed, but can maintain it for far longer than Kaadu/Spat types, which have a considerably faster gallop, but cannot maintain it as long.
