I'm curious as to how CH xp is calculated. I was using a BEed Razor Cat that was CL1(16max) and my friend that was hunting with me was using a Cowardly Gurreck CL15 , he was getting approximately 100 more CH xp every time also.
I switched to a Rock Beetle then, CL3 (13max), and was getting more xp than I was with the Razor Cat, but still getting less than my friend with the Cowardly Gurreck.
I didn't see any other topics pertaining to this.

It kind of depends on the creature you are hunting. There is some sort of relation between the level of your pet and the level of the creature you are killing. Not exactly sure what it is.

Because at the creatures' lower levels you don't get as much exp. You'll get the max you can get from it at level 5-6 as its growing. then it will go back down to its regular adult level exp. If you have a new pet and plan on grinding the most exp from it, plan to use it on the day it hits levels 5 and 6 to get the very most out of your time. There are also baby pets that will use their adult grown level to calculate how much experience you get, you'll see those as you go along and get used to it.
Also, all bets are off for the BE'd pet. Their levels are all horked, especially while they're young and growing.
