Merchant's easy. You don't have to do anything. Just climb Management first, and add a new vendor each step of the way for an additional 150 xp/hr. Yeah it takes a while, but there's no interaction required -- unlike any of the crafting or hunting professions.

The best advice I can give you is to get a good group together and head to the Geonosian Caves on Yavin IV. You better have plenty of pet stims or a Doc in your group to heal your pet cause it'll take quite a beating there and make sure you clone. I've been averaging around 50k-100k XP an hour out there when there's a strong group to take the brunt of the damage.

I am 0/1/0/1 right now and becoming discouraged. I want to just get done with it and drop it. Now before you flame a hologrinder just asking for a little help, understand that I don't care if you love this profession and how wonderful it is. From what I understand a lot of people have left since they were nerfed. I only am looking for a quicker way to finish it than "Good, er.. boy."

This is starting to work my nerves. I thought BE was bad, but is no where as bad as this.

Any help is appreciated.

Definitely option C.

Having just finished a long holo grind for CH, I did the last 500k of exp by getting novice BE and making / training pets...it's much faster that hunting because the exp rolls in more consistantly...at the end I was getting 1500 exp per pet trained...about 30 per hour or more depending on how much TV i was watching while sampling DNA.

If your going to fight for your exp, usea petabout 1/2 your ability and fight things that you can safely kill with that pet.I did most of my hunting with a lvl 23 pet, I liked my war gronda alot because of it's decent kinetic resistance...(GET Bio PETS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOUGHER FOR A GIVEN CL)

Overall, If I had to do it over (i'd quit !) I'd fight until I couldteach 10 commands (training the lowest skills that give the most commands first)

P.S. the formations command gives you 2 commands to teach your pets.

Get with a Real CH and a Master Riflman, TKA , Carbineer, or any damage dealer class and go hunt rancors for easy exp

I'll give you the same advice I was given. I started CH because I wanted to, so that may color how you view my opinion.

A) Tame everything you can. Don't be choosey. Then release it. If you get GPS, give me a tell

B) Take the points and acquire the boxes that give you more commands. The more commands you have, the more points you earn by taming.

If you are doing this for the holo, then just grind it out, taming everything in sight. I tried the hunting aspect of CH, and while it is fun, especially in groups, I got FAR more points taming than by fighting, and in far less time. It's a drag, but it does work and work quickly (this being a relative term).

Good luck.

funny, I find I get much more xp hunting than fighting. Get a group (small, big whatever). A cowardly gurreck when fighting fambaas nets you around 600 xp, all sorts of stuff will net you 800 + xp on anything and everything in the geo cave. You can get 1000 or so xp from various rancors on dath, and so on. Depends on what your guild is doing but that seems to be the fastest way to level.

Shy of buying hordes of crappy BE pets, but if you are or have a BE that needs sampling and crafting xp that works. I found myself it was faster to tag along on group fambaa hunts than sample, create, tame and train.

i just recently mastered ch

took about 3 day

ok so it took nearly 3 weeks, however, the way i did it was went to endor and killed everything there

and i mean everything

im a master rifleman so that made things easier

the best thing to do is get buffed and go with a friend and tank for your critter

send them to attack let them get their damage in and then call them back and take the blunt force of the attack

ranged attackcritters are especially good for this kind of thing in the geo lab

i have found one way to get 1500 ch exp every minute ... what slowed me down was leaving to have to train...was maxed out in exp....got 3 boxes in 3 hours..when from 2-2-2-2 to 3-2-2-4 in 3 hours..that includes finding another CH to train me .... wish i would have found this spot earlier

Wish I knew how to get 1500 every minute But for me, I found that overall, a level 16 pet gave me the most exp per kill. I would take missions and tame any babies that popped out to maximize exp. Still, during my grind, I mastered BE and Rifleman in the time it took me to do CH
