Lantyssa, Please stay. i vist your web page daily. Changes will be coming soon to the game that will help. It will just take time. It is always like this for corporations around end of 4th quarter, they must increase sails or promote the big push for next year (JTL). Right now their other tweaking is JEDI, that will ease soon. it has to, too much of the customer base is unhappy with the current system, i am sure once they have established JTL and have a portion of the staffed detailed to fixing the bugs induced by it, the other proffesions will be looked at. it is just the way of things. i believe unfortunately that SOE has too much on their plate right now, not their fault, it's normally corporate driven, they are just having to deal with it.
Does that help us? no, and the continued silence doesn't help, but they will sooner or later have to get around to these issues, there are simply too many competitors to their customer base for them to ignore it much longer....they must stay better than the next game, keep their core customer base and attract the new customers also. it's a fact of business. things will be addressed, with JTL i am sure they are READY to look into the current bugs, from what i know fo projects like this, they are probally ready for a break. Once the rush is over more time and devotion will be put into the ground game. if the space and ground game didnot interact, i would say the ground game would be dead, but since we are lucky they interact, it keeps both alive much longer. And with longivety comes attention and fixes.
So please stay, i know alot if budding CH's like myself would be hard pressed without the resources and knowledge someone as yourself posses and have devoted to the game, my journey would have been much harder and infuriating. instead it has been a breeze and joy. Please stay. When the changes come, persons able to keep a cool head and able to make suggestion, will be in high demand. Please stay and make this game better!

You know, I shot off at the mouth a moment ago in this thread, and maybe I shouldn't have done so here, I'll delete it, but it irks me.
Man, I'm sorry to see another CH go, especially along time one. I know you will be missed by those that knew you, and by those that share your profession. Happy hunting and fare well.

Wallach, if it was a snipe at me, no harm done. If it was at the devs, then I probably agree.
Zandramadas, thank you for your kind words. I promise I did not make this decision lightly. I waited 10 months for important fixes when we were told it would be two. Between swgcreatures and Clan Alya I am surrendering positions that meant a great deal to me. I gave up a spot in the Sandbox (not CH), which I wanted to help with because I believe that the Combat Balance is so desperately needed. I have been behind this project since the day it was announced. Despite all I had invested in SWG though, I have to face facts that if I am not having fun, then I need to step away.
To everyone else, thanks.

Seiryuu,
LOL. My tactics aside we have had many great discussions. I wish you the greatest joy and luck. I have never wanted anything less for any CH. I want you to be happy and keep being a good person. It works well for you.
Sky, Tivo, Joker, Jope, Blind, Tsiya, freth, fantoq, meroc, Kzin (although he might like the 10 day trial and stay), there are oodles I am missing.....I for one miss them all.

About a week ago, after a lot of thought, I decided to leave SWG. My subscription lapses at the end of October..
Creature Handler has always been more than a profession for me, its existance has been my reason for a continued interest in this game. It was simply a part of who my character was.
My reasons for leaving are plentiful, although the treatment of our profession and my perceived view of the developer's future direction do play a significant role. Simply put, I have not had fun in recent memory and I see no hope of doing so for a very long time, if ever. So it is time I moved on.
I would like to thank all the handlers out there for your support of the profession. Whether we agreed or not, whether we liked one another's methods of getting attention, I know that everone here wanted the best for our pets. If you are staying, keep up the good fight. If you are soon to follow, then enjoy whatever new it is you pursue. Either way, remember to have fun.
Before I go, I would like to mention those that were closet to me and made my time here worthwhile:
- Razzia and Scythe, my Dalyrake Matriarchs that guarded me as a wee Bothan.
- Faith and Sandy, my Kliknik Queens who stayed even when their armor did not.
- Lilith the Queen Merek that killed a score of pirates as revenge for my death.
- Mehve (the elder) the Enraged Reptilian Flier who did little more than look awesome.
- Whetherby the Savage Humbaba who let me ride in style even after mounts were passe.
- Kui the Giant Carrion Spat that shared Whetherby's burden and kept the neighbors awake.
- Mehve (the younger). A Mantigrue Screecher that took to me on the first attempt.
- Solitude, Isolde, Mindy and Cindy the Gaping Recluses and Hunters that were my constant hunting companions throughout the galaxy.
- Azu, Sandy, Tusk and Razor. They were bio-engineered from the meanest critters in existance. I made them with loving care, raised them with the same, and they returned it ten-fold.
- Maya the Great Plains Stalker. I first saw one of your kind when I could barely tame a krahbu and was awe-struck. Perhaps fittingly, you were my last tame and steps from the guildhall that I have led for ten months.
Take care everyone, and be good to your pets!
