Ya know, forget about everything I've been saying. Forget about making the profession viable. Forget about wanting to see information, and completely forget about having fun.
I'm sorry guys, I can't keep looking through yall's rose colored glasses anymore. I've made my peace, and most of the time, with in reason to the "rules" of the forums, yet more and more of my posts get deleted. Not just that, but other's as well. Maybe it's time for a changing of the guard.
Everyone seems to be wanting sunshine to be spread here, well, let the sunshine in I guess. I've made my statments, I made my opinions, I've shared my views, and each and everytime I've been knocked down. Others have made valid points and each and everytime, they have been "hidden" from view because it appears they didn't agree with the "thoughts" of SWG/SOE.
You guys have fun, spread your sunshine and fertilizer everywhere you go. As of this posting, I won't be coming back to the Creature Hander Forum, there's no point. And apparently, come December, when my account comes due, Khales is gonna take the long walk with the others that were here.
Take care, and may the spirits of nature guide your pets well.

I know the feeling wallach
to be honest i'm feeling the same way
I threw a post on Plutos page yesterday just to tie up a few loose ends
truth is im not sure how long I'l last my fingers on the cancel button and i'm trien to find a reason to stay
i'm sure some people will be pleased to see people like us go, and it would be interesting to see what they accomplish by doing as they are told "sit and wait its comming"
Farewell I wish you good fortune

Just want to clarify somthing, my account won't end until December. I'm staying till then because it's paid up till then.
If I see changes that appeal to me by then, I might change my mind, but as far as the forum goes, I see no point in posting on it anymore. No need for my insight when it isn't the same as the higher ups.
So some of you out there that disagreed with me, good news, I saved a bunch of money by switching my swoop bike insurance to geico, seriously though, you won't have to worry about debating the issues with me anymore.
We'll see what happens come December guys, if any of you want to get ahold of me in game, on Intrepid my name is Khales, on most other servers, look up Wallach O'ne.

Wallach,
I am sorry to hear the news. I have been lurking since cancelling my account, but a few days remain, so I thought I would step from the shadows for a moment. It's sad to see so many who love the profession and would like to see it thrive have been treated as pariah and really given no alternatives other than to shut up or leave. We seem to be a dying breed. Heck, I rarely even see any of my former Beast members online. Maybe the BE's can keep our dna safe should the profession actually be viable ever again.
Strangely enough, the day after I cancelled my acount, I was offered a beta account for JTL,as ifthat was going to keep me here and interested. Way too little, way too late. As soon as I find out where I can leave feedback about this game to LucasArts, I will be writing a lengthy letter about how they should have developed Galaxies in house or let BioWare do the job for them. /sigh
Good Luck Walllach. May find better gaming days ahead of you.

Sorry to see ya go Wallach. Although im not sure how long youll be able to just read and not respond.
Seriously tho, as long as people understand the 'true' function of these forums i think they will be better off (stress wise that is). IMHO these forums are to discuss things and to get advice and share knowledge. I dont think the devs ever intended the forums to be "the" source or catalyst for change within the game. And clearly as their actions have demonstrated the past year or so, they frown on attempts to start movements within the community for change. Sad but true.
Im not saying i agree with this, im just saying thats how it seems to be. /shrug

Wallach,
I know the feeling.
Just last weekend, after being confronted with the absolute stupidity of the curent FS reflex quest (go from Dathomir to Endor six times to find a box of supplies and fight some Sith shadow pirates!) I made noises about cancelling my accounts.
My upset with the game goes beyond the way CHs are treated. It has to do with the entire powergaming menetality of the developers now. They cater exclusively to mindless powergaming sensibliities. Grind, grind, grind for your reward, lab rats.
In the mean time, the FS quests do not enrich, or entertain...they basically are make work. There is very little story to them, very little reason to become engrossed in the SWG universe. Because it's all the same thing, and it's unartfully presented, to boot.
There is so muchpotential to play at being a smuggler, or a creature handler, or a bounty hunter. But it's lost in the endless, mindless mentality of powergaming first person shooter that dominates the developer mindset. Everything is about combat in this game. The end game is Sith robots, not Jedi.

Take care and enjoy yourself in whatever pursuit you take up beyond this. I certainly do hope things improve for us but am losing hope more and more. If all they do is suppress our ideas, complaints, and requests, what good is this, or -any- forum for that matter, except to try and make us feel like they actually care........which they don't.
Myself? I am passionate but not the most vocal...I may have to ramp it up a notch or two with the most vocal leaving. *smirks* I'm most likely leaving for WoW in November (Hunter profession, anyone?) because JtL holds no interest for me and does nothing to improve my gaming experience.

It's just not worth it anymore. This crack down on the forums is, well a bit much. Seems like everytime i master a new combat profession I pick up and move on. soe and their grinds to do anything, lack of meaningful content. ch's nerfed for the sake of be's. Time to give swg another break, playing saga of ryzom now, not a bad game at all and the devs actually listen and comment.
take care, peace
