So I just made CH 4334, and I set off to Endor to claim my own Screecher baby. I dont have buffs, and I figure it may take several days, so I'm not clearing the lairs - just spawning them, and seeing if any babies come in the first wave. Will this work? Will babies ever spawn in the first wave or am I going to have to clear the lairs? Lastly, anyone have any other tips for hunting screechers or rares in general? =)

Yes for rare ones like the martinque sp? it is the prize, be patient try looking when server comes up in the morning.

I have tamed a number of Skreechers and other rares. I have never seen a rare baby in the first spawn. Most pop in the last spawn. I have had some pop in the second but it is usually the last spawn.

I want a baby Frenzied Rancor.
Unfortunately, they are so rare that there ain't any.

I picked up 3 Mantrigue Screecher Babies just running missions two days ago.
I never picked one up before then - thats my tip for ya

On Endor, I spent a lot of time getting a screecher and a widow. There are areas that are better than others for finding rares. I found the Southern Outpost (Research Outpost) to be the best base of operation with screecher and widow lairs to the northeast (sometimes), east (frequently), southeast (often), and south (sometimes). I've found if you go more than 1.5k from the outpost, you're probably wasting time.
My MCH is on Test Center and I am always unbuffed. I just took a good pet and some strategy to wack away at the lair (I've never seen a rare baby waiting for me at a pristine wild lair). It takes a lot of patience (it took me weeks of trying), but I was eventually successful.

i've never activly looked for scheecher babies... but the one i got was from a wild lair and it was on the inital spawn, never had to touch the lair... but just in general it seems that the rares come more towards the end of the lairs...

My first screecher was from a wild lair, already waiting for me when I past by. My last one was in the 2nd wave of a wild spawn.
I have yet to see a widow baby, I must be up to 40-50 lairs now

so seems like everyone gets theirs from wild lairs - I was doing missions. Will babies only spawn from the wild lairs? Or is it just too much hassle to find a solo group every day on Dant then head back to Endor? =)

umm they also spawn from missions... like i said i never ran missions for babies, but i know some MCH's that have gotten them from missions...
but if you're a MCH you really shouldn't need to go get in a solo group, you can pull high enough pissions grouping pets...

gah so frustrating....not MCH soI cant pull my own. Got in a group to pull missions, but then couldnt group my pet, so I had to keep targeting him manually. Ran in to stim him and got hit by the plague strike, 600 mind wounds in 2 minutes with two incaps to boot. I hate screechers. Still want one though =) Anyone on Intrepid have any extras? lol

since you're not Master don't even bother trying to get one its CL 55 and vicious...
