The screenshot-is-worth-a-thousand-words version:
Linky
The not-quite-as-brief version:
The datapad icon for MRFs is the default icon.
The regular-sized version:
After a fair amount of work ( a couple of hours across two days, partly due to the "can't tame that" bug ), I finally managed to snag a baby Mature Reptilian Flyer. I don't know what the taming percentage on these things is, but without any mods ( clothes, foods, buffs, nothing ) I can honestly say it took me probably 50+ tries before finally getting a success.
So, after my initial pleasure that I actually managed to tame him(her?) I opened the datapad to check level stats. Surprisingly, the icon I expected wasn't what I expected, giving me another double-take for the day.
An additional little bonus was that the stats for the MRF is actually a little better than what SWGCreatures.COM reports (at least, I think so). I'd call this a pleasant surprise, but I actually don't use SWGCreatures for the most part, preferring to be surprised by my tameable's stats when I find them.
The senile-old-man-who-tells-rambling-stories verison:
Too long for print. Trust me, it involves the Village, the bugged phase 3 quest, stupid pub groups on Dant, the "can't tame this" bug, aggro kicking in for failed tames across species, a crying baby, and probably some other stuff that's even less interesting.

I have one too! I was lucky though as I tamed it before all the levels were changed, when it was a lot lower level and easy to get.

The datapad icon for all fliers has been that way since beta. (Similarly, Baz Nitches have the datapad icon since then.)
Congrats on your tame. I've always liked the fliers. As soon as I could tame aggressive creatures, I was on Dathomir hunting one down.

Wow, I didn't think there was anyone else who bothered taming these!
I got my two back around september 04 and have never stoped using them due to their speed. ( they can keep up with my bike) anyway, gratz on the tame friend. ![]()

I finally opened up a slot for another Reptilian flyer. I really missed my old onesince I had togave it up while hunting elites (which btw are no more). I tamed Norbert just last night. Fully clothed and filled up on jawabeer it still took 7 tries. Well worth the trouble though. Grats on your tame.

The rarest reptillian flier (and one of my favs) is the Enraged Reptillian Flier, found near the nightsister stronghold.... they only spawn in groups, no lairs and usually have a baby outside the group, the babies arnt rare just running into them is uncommon. The problem is the were the best pre-cu out of the fliers and now they are like level 64 or something and are worse then youths.... GIMME A BREAK!

I stumbled across a baby myself last night. Too bad Dathomir has spawn after spawn of other stuff overlapping all over. They kept breaking my maskscent and every shear mite and rancor and bolma around started to take an interest in me. I finally gave up and left.
I didnt realize they were so hard to find, I'd a stuck it out a little longer.
