We all know that using the right level of pet yields the best XP, but does anyone know the formula to determine the optimum level pet?

Experience teaches us that in hunting Enraged rancors your best XP pet is between CL 16-20. The only way to get a pet that survives is to visit a BE and get something from him.
Now for optimum damage I suggest a Master Swordsman or TKM. They break well to the leash, feed them drugs and food and buff them and they work fine. They get a little whiny on you just stick your stun batton on their butts and they start to function again. So far I have worn out only two TKM's this way. Of course if they break the leash you may never see them but while they are on the leash they do more damage, don't run, and are conversant in most languages. The downside is they like to steal the loot but then that's what the stun baton is for right.
Seriously, for best damage I like one CL 65-70 pet with lots of ferocity, light armor 60% kinetic resists and a couple of good specials my favorite is Poison/dizzy. Knockdown is a joke but my posion/dizzy cat put a kimo down and it never got back to it's feet. It was nearing death by then by the way.
Oh and Blair, I also like the idea of a tracking pet. As a BH you wouldn't believe the number of seeker droids that get eaten by space slugs.
I wonder if we will see any out there in Jump to Lightbeer.
