For your info.. the featherwight fwg5 can be made into a schematic and you can make almost 3000 weapons form one schematic.
I pay 50K for the schematics which is more then enough for my customers to buy 4 of my featherwight pistols :-)
I sell those guns for 12K each, and i might even give them 50K and a few free guns if i meet them in my shop.

Greetings All,
This idea came to me and I thought to post it as food-for-thought and maybe for a little bit of discussion. Please consider this as a "what-if" scenario.
The Idea:
The PvP damage reduction penalty is removed from our pets, in other words they can now do their full damage potential, but the trade-off is that when you master CH and when skilling up any combat profession, melee or ranged, you can only skill up 2 lines of said combat profession but you are not just limited to one combat profession.
Ex: MCH + 2 lines Rifleman + 2 lines Pistol or MCH + 2 lines Swordsman + 2 lines other combat profession (** these are just examples and I did not use any kind of Character Builder program to calculate SP usedand the 250 SP limitation still holds)
Basically, as our pets do only Kinetic damage, you train in the combat profession(s) to be able to do other damage types and together you and your pet use your abilities to take out the mob/person. And of course the opposite holds true: if you master a combat profession then you can only skill up 2 lines of CH at the most, if you are inclined to go CH.
As I see it, with this scenario our pets become our true weapons (and armor to a degree) and maybe clear up the debate of whether CH is a 'combat class' or 'support class'. And obviously there needs to be tweaks and balances done:
- is CL70 high enough at MCH or should it be increased (decreased?) to match the damage output of other combat professions, and perhaps give the title of "Master Creature Handler" more weight
- you must also factor in BE'd pets and their amazing abilities
- what are some of the possible combinations when it comes to stacking abilities that are found from the combat professions?
- perhaps in the futurewe will get new pets to train that does other damage types, how will this factor in?
- ?? (I'm sure there are other details to consider but I leave that to you to discuss)
I make no claims that this is the ideal situation for CHs and it is a give-and-take situation where you sacrifice something to get something else. But I believe that it does have some merits. So I offer this to you, my Brother and Sister CHs, for discussion while we wait for the CB/CR. Is this a fair trade?

I'd take that trade in a heartbeat but I'm not optimistic about it happening. I have a funny feeling that the CB WILL have some kinda restricions to prevent cross profession "uberness" in some way though. I know the idea of making a "super" class has been discussed (I forget where I saw it). So a master rifileman could, for example, go up yet annother tree to super specialize.
Personally, power balence aside, I am somewhat supirsed that there arn't cross class skills incorporated into the game. For example pets above lv 70 would be available only to a master of BOTH CH and Ranger, or a ranch/zoo would be available to a master of BOTH CH and artisan. Let your immagination fly. A master smuggler/master pistoler might have different "super skills" than a master smuggler/ master politician. In otherwords make using skill points to master a support class usefull in relation to a combat class. Imagine Master CH/Master Smugler being able to use beasts of burden to smuggle large quantities of stuff. Ive thought of more combinations than i can count. The advantage is it allows players to become even more unique and capablewithout having to make them fundamentally more powerfull.
I really like Master smuggler/master politician mabe you could "bribe" the stormtroopers... You get the idea.
We shall see.
But I like your Idea. Were gonna have to make a compermise if we want more powerful pets and as long as its a constructive one, I'm all for it.

Hmmm, let me see now. Do I want a pet doing 500 damage or my rifle doing several thousand per hit? How about armor and buffs brought into line and a slight increase in pet damage. There are several combat lines that do not shine until master is reached, this would put a hurt on players in those.

bad idea...
it would never well work with rifleman... (would have to be 4/0/0/4)
pistols... 2 lines of pistoleer, take up fanshot line and the speed line... add in dirty fighting from smuggler, and the pistols line from BH, toss in commando flame 4 and you still have 7 SP left...
carbines... well aren't that great to begin with, but 2 lines of that (speed and accuracy)... add in BH carbines
pikeman... really not worth it... take the speed line and the the area dizzy/KD
swords... never played with them so don't know
fencer... you can still get your defences with 1 line...
TK... you already see alot of 4/0/0/0 TK's out there
mix and match these as you would like, but with out getting dam mit 3 for melee or ranged hurts...
now if you make it so only MCH, whats the point in getting MCH if you wanna pair it a master combat prof for PvE...
i think this would end up hurting more ppl, cause it seems that the majority of MCH are mainly PvE players...
