Have seen some of these around. Can someone explain CL 0 pets to me and how they are found?

These are older be pets that are bugged, allowing you to use a full grown pet at a lv 1 or 0. There have been several discussions on weither this is an exploit or not. So if you seek such a pet be careful, theres always the chance of the devs catching up to them one of these days. You would have to find this from another player.

There is no discussion - they are an exploit. Do what I do when I hear someone is selling them:
/tell Hey, how much are you asking for the CL 0 pet?
"Only 15 million"

They are a bug and a debatable exploit.
In the month we first got nerfed they changed BE to make them able to exp the CL of pets down.
For this month almost any pet that was made by BE's was CL 0(1).
You can't find them, the best you can do is get one from someone that bought pets back then, or find a few left over pet deeds.
I happen to have a few of these exploits however it is highly debateable if you consider an 800 HAM Kaddu at CL 1 and exploit seeing it is useless for anything other than a mount.

It depends on the pet. There are lesser versions of all the original creatures that could be mounted, they have about 900 HAM and no resists and are cl0
If you're talking about some kind of uber BE pet that's CL 0...well then that's another matter.

There is no adult CL 0 pet. The current CL 0 and 1 pets were made by BE's prior to the revamp of their profession and tamed from deed after the revamp. Since the data for BE pets was totally redone the old pet deed did not fit the new pet data system. So CL stayed at 1 or 0 but the pet grew to full size with all abilities. Yes, this is an exploit. SOE has decided that there are not enough of them around to expend the effort to fix them.
