Thread: Does anybody have a BLACK Swamp Stalker? I have 2 whites, but can't find a Black baby anywhere...

The quick answerer to your question is, NO.
The reason may not be what you thing and is therefor not so quick.
Currently ALL critters that spawn singly without a lair are extinct for the purposes of taming a baby. (this includes the GPS, WDB, as well as your SS and some others) In the past one would encounter one of these rare beauties and proceed to eliminate the spawns one at a time ( to a max of 3 or 4 ) hoping that one of the re-spawns would be a baby. In the Post CU world a single spawn is just that, SINGLE. You kill it once and something else spawns in its place.
So you see, the reason the answer is no isn't because they don't exist ( hunted em allot and never saw a black one tho 
) but because the BABIES themselves don't exist at this point. No one seems to know if this is a bug of some kind or is as the devs intend it to be.

I think mine is charcoal grey. Not black really but certainly not white.

Black swamp stalkers?? never saw one...I have grey and white....gonna hang onto them forever lol

I'm sure Blacks exist, but I haven't been able to get a Swamp Stalker baby to spawn at all lately.
Just making sure the blacks exist before I go nuts looking for them

these are the closest i found to white and black and i tamed close to 20 of theses pre curb:

the lighting is not good, but the darker one is a dark brown, not black..there are rumors of true jet black ones, but i have never seen one...and have been told that the dark brown type is what many consider "black"

My 2 swamp stalkers .. myth and legend... are legend is charc. Grey with a white tail and Myth is white and has a slight grey tail.. they look so cool even with thier green eyes. and ocasionally I take out my old plains hunter.. Fable who is red not really dark red like i wanted but hey... didn't have much of a choice I would have took orange over red tooshe just looks like an overgrown guurcat... oh well I still love her.
