I have a mantrigrue reaper, but the ancient reptillian flyer has a decent attack and defense set of numbers, good damage. Also, its a flyer so not as many ground issues I think.

There was the creature from LOK, I have one, it was asmall bat like creature, and dangit I am not online to give you the exact name but I think it was a "sulfur or salt riverside mynock" or something like that. It was hard to find,I had 2 waypointsof areas about 2000m from Lok where I always could find them. It had a good disease on it, but since thats not working, at least I think its not, its a sad avian now. It was only a cl 36 so you were able to use a combo pet that had like poison in the pre-CU days. When I get online I will get the exact stats for you on it since CU.

And the flyer is big enough to be a mount, but since we don't have avian mounts, yet they have JET PACKS. So I don't see why they can't code in an avian mount. They showed one riding a avian mount in Star Wars Episode 2. It came out of the water on the cloner world for those that missed that part. And if it has to be bigger, we got the GIANT PEKO PEKO babies again Got mine.

There are quite a few kinds of Mynock like creatures in the game.

The most closely matching to the Tatooine Mynocks are the Vynocks on Corellia. They are level 7 for the regular ones. There is also a Foaming Vynock that is bigger, though I'm not sure how much since I haven't seen one since the CU. They were not tameable pre-CU, but they might be now. They look exactly like Tatooine Mynocks except they have no eyes.

Another similar kind are the Mynocks on Lok. You can find pictures of all of these on SWGCreatures, so you can have a look at them, but they are the strongest variety of the Mynocks. There are various kinds, the strongest being the Riverside Sulphur Mynock.

A third kind are the Fynocks of Talus. They are more bird like, but share the same characterisitics. They were around level 10-20 pre-CU, not sure what they are now. These are my personal favorite of the 3, they are more colorful.

If you want more Bat like, there are Borgles on Endor and Rori, and also Gackle Bats on Yavin.

I have recently caught a shimmering latern bird level 34 on endor looks cool but is slow right now.

I would hope they improve flight speed as it is suppose to be and allow the flier to once again move as fast as a speeder.

ya i found on swgcreature that there use to be alteast a lvl22 salt mynock on lok but now they are around lvl 58 to 78. I was hoping to find the lvl23 versions so i could have a trio like my cats. because the stats where so close to the cats, but i think they were 1k less in health. the lvl 69 reptilian flyer that i got has the same stats has my lvl22 cats. OH on the down side i spent most of my day hunting the slat mynocks and never saw a baby one. I even did missions for them. They show to spawn babies but they must be very rare.
