This isn't anything new post cu but may help in that its using what you do know and applying it ingame.

I have multi accounts, on one server I have a jedi (Its used to be a mch/jedi) I had to respec him to a jedi /melee template for post cu grinding since they nerf'd the creature powers for jedi.

I also had a second mch/mdoc character on this serverincase I ever needed to drop mch on the other and for rez's for the jedi.

So lately I have been grinding a little with the jedi, I used both accounts and characters, my pc is great and can play both on one machine with 0 lag while hitting the windows key to swap back and forth. I group them up and use the follow command after getting missions and travel to the lair. I find a safe spot over the 32m from lair mark for my mch character to sit safely, I call 2 pets and befriend them to the jedi character. He then closes in on the mobs keeping the appropriate distance from the mch for visibilty concerns lol. I use the pets and attack and then I attack with low force power attacks wiping out lairs/mobs a couple of levels higher than my cl. I get the group bonus while the ch sits off on the sidelines banking xp.

I troll the jedi forums a little so I am suggesting to those people grinding ch and having a difficult time to go find a jedi/padawan in the same situation. Many padawans are in need of help. This will work with any profession but I suggest jedi for the simple reason is you will need to stay away at least 32m from them and it removes accidental firing or temptation to fight with your weapons. When grinding ch typically you send in pets and fire your gun, this two pronged attack from you devides your xp among your skills used.

Many people here who are ch are also grinding jedi (I have spoken to quite a few with pm's when they saw me post once on the mch/jedi character.

We have a ch by server thread and there used to be one for jedi's too, but i think most dont post names and keep it secret lol. If any people here are grinding jedi i suggest you read that thread find a ch willing to help you and themselves grind. Everyone will get full xp and earn a little cash while making friends and helping eachother in the new system.

Just a thought but I think its actually a cool combo for grinding and you don't have that group mentality of kill kill kill everything in sight lol. If you see something you want to tame you can go off and wander leaving just one pet with the padawan if need be. Both sides will be greatful and bend towards the goals of a friendship being formed.

I have been using my MCH to level my Jedi since about 2 days after the CU. It works great.

I actually drop a house in a certain direction from the mission terminal. I then take 2 missions in that direction. My MCH is safely tucked away indoors and my Jedi levels in the general area. I know I can go at least 600m from the MCH house and still get CH XP....

My only issue is /tellpet doesnt seem to work with befriend. Do you have this problem too?

I don't usually use /tellpet anyways, old habit lol

yea just basic commands in spatial will work,

if your pets incapped too you need the ch to get him up or wait a few minutes and they usually rise on they're own.

Interesting. I tried to get 'befriend' to work between my 2 toons once, and I couldn't command the pet. Maybe because I was using tellpet...

On a side note, it's funny but you had the exact same setup as me, jope. I had an MCH/Jedi on my main, and picked up a second account to make an MCH/Doc for transferring/storing pets, as well as buffs and rez's (I only lost xp once during my entire jedi grind, and that was near the very end when I started the trials, got on the terms, died due to lag inPVEand was immediately camped by the only BHs to ever come after me- forcing me to clone instead of rez on the spot).

With the CU, since my doc no longer has any purpose, I decided to cancel that account (1- no point in keeping it and 2- in protest of the CU). I respec'd my unlocked toon from my jedi account into an MCH(from being a melee stacker)and moved most of my pets from the cancelled account back to that one. Some of my 'fluff' pets that I had stored between my 3 toons had to be left on the cancelled toon's datapad, unfortunately. I decidedto onlykeep the most combat effective or the oldest and most loyal of my pets from my first MCH.

Great minds think alike aye kitoth lol

yea my second accounts up in a month, so my doc shall be gone but was thinking the same thing have her hold my special pets and transfer the combat pets to my alt lol

I know people don't like jedi's well some don't lol. But its a really nice way to grind using bf, just tonight in two hrs I got over 300k xp for sitting on my butt with the ch char. Now imagine if i was running around tamingstuff while a jedi used one or two of my other pets lol.

which reminds me i need to let ko know my xpcap was gone lol. :-)

Wow, this is a GREAT idea! I've been wrestling with the issue of dropping my main toon's favorite profession (CH) for the sake of developing him as a Jedi ever since Publish 9 went live. Personally, I just think CH's in-tune-with-Nature vibe seems to "fit" very well with the notion of a Jedi's in-tune-with-Nature-via-the-Force thing. Obviously, this isn't the perfect solution, but it sounds like a nice workaround.

Jopenack, has your jedi gotten vis from grouping with your other char's pets (while using force powers within 32m)? I have read conflicting reports that grouping with someone else's ch pets while using force powers within 32 m does give vis, or it does not (lol).
