Yes, find yourself a good Bio Engineer and get them to make you a CL30 pet. You can put it in any skin you want. I suggest a cat, because they are fast.
I currently have a CL30 with 12k ham, high kinetic resist, with strong poison, dizzy..... You could get a good dizzy / knockdown combo...
Bio engineer is the only way to go.

I'd also indorse the piket plains walker and suggest you look for a giant crystal snake on Yavin IV.
Oooh...also just remembered: huurton stalker is CL 33 and makes a great bodyguard in cities where you don't want to call too much attention to yourself, which a graul will definitely do.

Merek Assassin is a really nice pet as they have 8500HAM, 50%kinetic, dizzy and strong poison as their specials, and 325-360 damage. They are pretty easy to find on Endor and wont block the screen like a Graul. The Riverside Sulfur Mynok is the only pet you can tame that has armor, and works well in PvP or against humanoid NPCs that use ranged weapons, but they are rather hard to find.
Or, you can just go to Coronet and open up the planetary map and look for Bio Engineer shops (Coronet seems to be the best place to shop on any server). I have one pet that is cl33 with 60%kinetic, 50%energy, and 10k HAM.
