Hey all, I have an alternate character, she's a master merchant, Ive been wanting to do MCH on that, even more now that they will be able to have lvl 80 pets.

Do you guys think I would be alright if i were a Master Merchant/Master CH/Novice Carbineer( Only would have enough skills for novice, nothing else). If not, what do you think would be a good combination, with merchant, that would give me at least a few vendors, able to hold my own well for creature taming, etc. and still have a decent amount of vendors, I think I would be fine with just 0004 in merchant.

So if that were the case, what would be good to go with Merchant0004/MCH, also I dont think I need to be lvl 80 (preferably close to it though) since I heard you dont need to be lvl 80 to have lvl 80 pets, just certain items.

Lol sorry for the rambling there, I appreciate all help in this, thnx a bunch!!

That's a tough one really. I was facing that then decided to give up the vendors. Are you going too be just a collector CH? To get rare (no such thing really anymore) critters? Or, use 'em in battle?

Well dunno if its enough for you, but on Farstar I am

MCH / MSwords / Artisan 0043

This gives me cl80 for taming (with ToOW) and combat missions, plus 2 vendors with enough survey to find resourses.

I plant harvs and sell minerals to make a living, as CH is great fun but not a money making prof

Well Mirth I was told you dont need to be lvl 80 to have lvl 80 pets with TooW, just certain items that give like +10 level taming or something like that, that you loot or get off of quests, not sure 100%, someone clarify this please.

I mainly want CH for:

#1. Fun, pets are awesome!

#2. Collecting

Not for battle, I have a combat toon for fighting. I just want to make sure im not so weak that I can't get the kinds of creatures I want and get all frustrated.

i am no good at clickies, but the last friday feature does say that you need CL80 to equip the necklace.

it doesn't say that you need to be MCH, which has some people wondering whether nonCHs that are CL80 can wear it and use CL20 pets. but my impression is that if you're not CL80, you won't be able to control CL80 pets even as MCH.

The only problem is healing. Now, you NEED medic. Not like the old days. Unless you are just fightin critters then you'll be ok.
