Thread: AOE Attacks gone after Pub24

Multiple CH's confirm the loss of their AoE attacks from their pets. A few others say they still have theirs. If your Queenie is doing far more damage now than it used too then I am speculating the new publish works differently on each server.

This is not the first time my pets in the datapad have beencompromised after a new release! While I have an emotional attachment to my pets due to a time investment, some of us might have to decide to delete and start all over again with a newly tamed rare pet to regain the specials we had originally designed into our custom menagerie of pets.

I am wondering if this is a hard fact of owning Pets in Star Wars Galaxies, that their specials might not be so special aftereach publish, not as a deliberate DEV programming action, but asa programming issue of moving our saved file databases from oneServer OS tothe new Server OS which mightnot read our pet data files the same way as the olderversion. I am hopingthis is the case.

I predict the obvious, there will be several hot fix updates in the following days of the full release of Trials of Obi Wan.

I am going to take a wait and see attitude before deleting these hard won rare babys and starting over. I found them once, I can find them again.

Developer ineptitude.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

my aoe attackers won't aoe anymore

blood frenzied boar wolf
bloodseeker mite queen
bull rancor

especially my bull rancor was very nice as area attacker. it got hunted withdrawal 3 as innate (reduce aggro). now that it only attacks 1 pet the hunted withdrawal 3 reduces all of the aggro it seems - as the target done care about the bull rancor but heading directly after me - lol.

anyone know if this a bug or intended - i could imagine that an AOE attacker doing all sorts of states (my queenie now does stun, dizzy, blind, imperiling feint, bleed and harmstring) might be too powerful for the devs liking. ... or the state dealing programming code just erased the AOE code.

No, incompetence. The patch process is known to be flawed, and there is no evidence in game that it has been addressed.

I followed up on a theory I had. The theory proved to be false. Thistheory was testedon Corbantis server.

I thought if I tamed a new creature known to previously possess an AoE attack it would be manifest in the new pet. The new Stoneskin Hanadak I tamedyesterday(level 61) proved not to have the AoE attack.

What does seem to be the case is the random states are being applied to you out in the wild when fighting with the various adult creatures. I was tag teamed by a swarm of pickets and I seen Blind andImperiling Feint being applied to me.

I really wanted to test my theory out on a new Bloodseeker Mite Queen. I ended up with the Stoneskin Hanadak when I gave up my search for a Queen baby after two days of searching and repeated flybys of 8 known lairs I found. I did gain an Ecologist's insight to the Bloodseeker Mite hiearchy.

Bloodseeker Mite Drone Level 56 (seen babies at lairs)

Bloodseeker MiteGuardianLevel 57 (seen babies at lairs)

Bloodseeker MiteLevel 58 (seen babies at lairs)

Bloodseeker Mite Hunter Level59 (seen baby away from lair in a 3 pack with two adults)

Bloodseeker Mite Queen Level 60 (seen no babys but only found at a lair with Guardians)

Oddly enough there is one (Scout) designe at each lair. This scout role has been found applied to the Queen oddly enough. I thought I really found something really rare in this variant.

I tamed my bull rancor two nights ago (221 days to get it) and it has an AoE attack that works fine. Two other MCH in my guild had their Bull Rancor prior to pub24 and the AoE works fine as well. We use them in spin groups when we can't find Jedi, works wonderful.

The bloodfrenzied has aoe? That explains an awful lot. Today i was in a grind group trying to level him up and randomly we would get swarmed with massive aggro.

If it was the boar wolfitappears to be randomly activated, and a fairly large radius.

I feel like a moron now. I was like "what idiot keeps hitting the lair?" lol

I only tried my bloodseeker mite queen and she did her ae attack but not as often as before pub24. Seems to me the ae attack is now on a random table with the other attacks the pets can make post pub24 and she cant 'spam' the ae anymore.

The other problem with the bloodfrenzied is that they DB.
