OK, I have searched the forums and did not find anything about wild Cu Pas no longer being mountable. I tamed two and lucked out in that they both had innate abilities so I thought I would level them up and give them away to friends as level 10 mounts with abilities. I got them both up (at the same time) to 4 training slots but was not able to train as a mount ... did not get the option from the radial menu. So, I kept leveling ... they how have 136 training points which means I have leveled them 17 times! They gotta be grown by now! Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

it's not in the radial menu any more-- it's in the trainable commands menu. check there

Yes, once the pet is trained, and you train the commands for any triggered ability, it's there and a non-CH can use it.

The passive abilities of course are always there (things like vigorous health, beastly constitution, etc).
