Tamed a level 70Shear Mite Soldier and so far have the following trained:

Thick Skin L3 (Tamed with this)

Aggression L3 (a must for any goodtank)

Vigorous Health L3 (figured More HP is a good thing)

Marring Storm L3 (figured extra damage and agro never hurts)

now I am in a quandry about what I should make the last skill. It has the 3 skill points already, I just need about20 more training pointsfor it tobe able to learnanotherL1-L3 skill. I am not all that interested in knockdown, since I can do that if I want to. Plus any of the stat effects don't thrill me, suchas bleeding or eye gouge. I just want him to be a better tank for the most part. I have narrowed my thinking down to these ideas, in this order:

Lighting Reflexes L3 (Raise Defense, good for tanks I would think)

Beastly Constitution L3 (Raise Regen, not sure how effective this really is durring combat)

Frenzied Blitz L3 (Faster attacks, Raise DPS therefore Raises Agro)

I am leaning to Lighting Reflexes but not totally sold on the idea. Given what I currently put on it, what would you choose? Would you choose something else entirely? Or did I blow this template comepletely and need to start over?

Frenzied Blitz is apparently bugged and actually INCREASES the time between your pets attacks according to research down a few weeks ago, how many points do you have available?? I would strongly recommend that you consider giving it at least imperiling feint L1 and/or intimidate L1 and stagger L1 or some other state attack...imperiling feint reduces their defences for 15 seconds, and intimidate reduces their damage to you, both are useful. But if your thinking just tank plain and simple, then I would consider Light reflexes or beastly con Good Luck!

yeah this one is just going to be a tank, not going to do any state effect, I will make another pet forthose sorts of situations.

A level 70 pet wild tamed pet can have 12 points.

I have spent 9 and have 3 to spend yet, already have them, just need the training points now, and the what to spend them on.

i would go lightning relflexes. My reclusive shear mite has a "template" similar

to yours and it kicks ass. I still have go grind it more, but with thick skin 3,

lightning reflexes 3, as an innate, vig health 3 and aggression 1.

Right now it tanks juviekrayts really easy getting hit for around 230

Hope thatanswers your question

Intimidate L1

Imperiling feint L1

Staggering attack L1

well I think you have your tank already with no further abilities hehe nice pet btw.

I like to give precision strike, really just at level 1, as I find itreally reduces the amount of misses by the pet - if you wamt a real tank you do not want it missing 3 or 4 times ina row as you could quite easily attract the mobs aggro in this time. This would still leave you with 2 slots for lightning reflexes 2.
