Thread: multiple pets.

i couldn't find the information in the FAQ, and i was wondering about calling multiple pets.
how does that work with levels?
if for example, your max pet level is 24, and number of active pets was 2, would you be able to call 2 level 24 pets or only two level 11 pets?
how does the whole level/pets thing work?

if you have level 24 you can call pets total level up to 24... ie either 2 lvl 12 or one level 4 and one level 20

using more than one pet at once does NOT double the xp you gain. just so you know. the xp is divided between your 2 pets depending on their level. if you have two different level pets, the xp calculation goes something like this. each pet gets half of what you would have gotten if you only used that pet. so a higher level pet will still give less xp than a lower level pet.

Also, if you are doing this in hopes of getting better xp, you are better at just grinding with 1, cause the xp is split between the two.

yesterday, i had a level 21 female razor cat out, and a level 7 gurreck that handn't fully grown. that's like a total of 28, but the max level of pet i can train is 27!?!??!?!?!
any ideas?
the reason i wanted two pets out, is that i thought it would be less harsh on one pet as a tank. but it seems that MOBs tend to go for one pet first, then the other, rather than spread their attack on the two.
you guys reckon it's still better to go with one level 27 pet, rather than 2 pets that add up to 27? (or 28 even!)

This is a bug that happens from time to time. When I had a total of CL 40, I pulled out my lantern bird (21) and my mountain dewback (20) and was riding around, when I hit the shuttle and left Tat, it didn't work anymore.
I was excited, thought that the Devs might have made it to where you could pull out multiple pets of the same level as long as each one was not higher than your max level to control. Silly me thinking the devs would do something to help out us CHs

your best bet is to use a BE lvl 19 with good resists and high damage

The reason you could use both was explained in your own post.
One was not fully grown - it would have said somthing like Level - 5 (7)
That means it's current level is 5 but it will eventually be level 7 when fully grown.
