I would like to see what everyone else's ideas would be to give CH's a distinct role in the GCW. Here are one of mine...
Give MCH's the ability to use the larger tameables, such as Fambaa's, Tortons, HufDuns,Maklocs, Kimogilasand such, to carry a shield generator for faction bases. Giving a conditioned shield that needs to be destroyed before the opposing faction can enter.
Make the schematic purchaseable from a faction recruiter, and player craftable by an Armorsmith. Allow them to be sliceable by a Master Smuggler. (giving these two professions a little more content)
Have three different types of shields. (The pet carrying the shield generator would be unable to attack until the generator was unequiped or destroyed.)
Shield Generator Mark 1: 20,000 condition. Armor: None, Base Resists: 40%
Shield Generator Mark 2: 35,000 condition. Armor: Light, Base Resists: 30%
Shield Generator Mark 3: 40,000 condition. Armor: Medium, Base Resists: 20%
This would give CH's a distinct and viable role in the GCW,dependant upon two other professionsand to help bring us out of isolation, allowing us to add to the GCW in a meaningful and signifigant way...

Doesn't sound like much fun for the CH to me. What happens if they just kill the pet?

Well, there's gotta be risks ya know. Contributing something like that would be rewarding to me, plus it's a bit Star Warsy I think...

i personally think mounted combat would be pretty cool, if given some pluses and minuses. could give mounted fighters a defense bonus against melee professions except for pikemen. at same time could give a severe accuracy decrease while mounted. could also give mounted players some sort of aoe intimidate. this would give mounted troops a sort of shock value in combat and the mods also make sense. it would be a lot tougher to punch somebody on top of a kaadu than it would if he were on the ground, and it would also be a lot harder to hit anybody from the back of a creature. the intimidate would allow mounted players to be used to run in and wreak havoc amongst the enemy. they wouldnt cause a lot of damage but they would create confusion and make it easier for other combat professions to take them out. this would give ch's a role in pvp, without making them too powerful i think.

Yeah, I like the fambaa shield generator idea. There's a similar thread already linked to on the correspondent boards. Hopefully this is something to keep in mind for the future GCW revamp.

I was hoping someone would like it. Larger tameables need to have a use. And CH's need a role to play in a faction base other than "distraction."
On the subject of larger tameables, a /stampede command would be a nice PvP addition, acting as anAOE damage thing...

Did you already forget it's carrying a shield?
They have to kill the shield first!
There have been several good ideas for pets that would make the profession better. This is one of them. It has been brought up before, but it doesn't hurt to keep good ideas from disappearing before implementation is possible.
