Thread: Sightings of the elusive GPS
Yesterday I rode from Coronet towards the Rouge CorSec Base on my trusty bull bantha Jolly, with a baby wrix running behind me. When I arrive at the Island, I start to look around. Suddenly I register movement in the grass, and I move in closer. There is a large pack of razor cats with several babies just outside the base. I tell Jolly and the wrix to run away, and then I tame two razor cat babies and a female razor cat baby.
At the gates of the Rouge CorSec Base I see a Commando that is having a rest, keeping one eye on the base, the other on the razor cats. She greets me and asks if I can tame the cats here. I show her my newly tamed razor cats and she is impressed. The commando has some creature handler skills, but she has this big cat that she can’t control, and wonder if I’m interested in him. I am, and I get a big gurreck. He is a beauty. I give my little wrix to the commando. The wrix is not that wild and ferocious, so the Commando should have no trouble controlling him.
After this I head to the Agrilat swamp. I’ve heard that there is an old swoop track there. I find the starter droid and race the through track on my swoop. My finish time is 336 seconds. New personal record, but it is far from the track record of 316 seconds. Guess I have to invest in an AV-21.
I decide to ride back to Coronet on Jolly. It’s a long ride, but I find several babies that I tame and release on the way. In the outskirts of a small forest I see several wrix laying in the shade, and a grand wrix baby playing. He comes to me on my first taming attempt, and then I continue my ride towards Coronet.
Suddenly, in the middle of an open plain, I realize that there is a creature that stalk me or Jolly. Searching desperately, I see a big cat ready to attack. I tell Jolly to run as fast as possible, but the cat is closing in at full speed. As it comes up behind us I see that it is a Great Plains Stalker. He lashes out at Jolly once, and then let us run away. That was a close one. I make sure to get some distance between us and then slowly sneak back. I study the fine animal for some time, and then once again I retreat away from him.
I am not a Master Creature Handler yet, so I take a good look at the surrounding area. I want to be able to return here and see how the GPS is doing.
