Ok guys & Girls ,I'am a Master Doc/ dropped Rifleman so I could take CH up. This now is going to leave me with no extra points for combat as I go through the CH trees. At the Mo I'am 2/1/1/1 inCh, is it worth me doing one hole tree so I can max out higher on xp so when I do give up novice marksman I will then only have a few boxes left?. So my threeQuestions are1/ Can it be done 2/ What treedo u thinkIshouldcompleteFirst3/ What pets should I be aiming to get so I can PVE without a combat proff. Thxs for your help

I'm rooting for you...but I have my doubts.
As for leveling, I think that especially in your case you should go up evenly to access more commands to train (and thus more tame/release xp) and also to get higher CL pets sooner. You are going to be healing your pets alot, however one advantage I see that you will have is that you should be able to buff a lower level pet to get more xp...of course with the damage on a low level pet you are going to kill slower. I think that unless a BE can work some good MOJO and get you a decent damaging low level pet or two that you can buff your biggest source of xp may be Tame/Release.
You will negate your ability to handle high level PVE content by relying solely upon your critters....especially with npc's getting their JUJU back.
I wish you luck, and any success you have combat wise may force me to reconsider my refusal to trya CH/CM temlate

At Present NOPE.
Pets dont do enough Damage, have to the potential to do any AP Damage.
And High Endcontent gobbles pets up fast. Thwy are good to Supports with
inflicting state.. thats all.
I wish i could have CH as my only Combat Prof though.

You could try to get a BE to make you some creatures with good resist and high damage and lower the HAM to lower CL then use buffs to fix the HAM. This would improve the killing power a little but you'll still lack AP and be confined to kinetic dmg. Autostoring will be an even bigger pain tho, costing a set of buffs each time it happens.

Even prenerf, relying on creatures as your sole combat skill was pretty iffy, mainly because they do so little damage compared to 4th tier marksman sklll boxes. With pistols IV I routinely did more damage than even my gurreck or rancor could do.
Pets have always been about tanking and controlling aggro so that you can stand there and deal damage without taking any yourself. Pre nerf, eventually a graul mauler could wear down a rancor and win, but you'd be able to take a trip down to the corner grocery and shop for a family of five for a week while the battle was raging between the two critters.
