Sorry, didn't see this in the FAQ and was wondering if Squad Leader and Creature Handler mix?

This is a very good question. I have never seen anything on this before, but if a pet can recieve MD buffs, I don't see why a pet can't recieve SL buffs.

I know way back when a friend got SL xp for grouping with his pets, not sure about the bonuses though...

i think it works. i cant remember if it was a faction pet or a creature i grouped to find it out. but it gives really bad exp for SL

I've been wondering this too. Posted in the Squad Leader forum, but no one seemed to know there either...

I know that last August (a year ago) when a friend of mine was working his way up the SL tree, grouping with pets and droids counted for SL XP. So he teamed up with 2 CHs who could both call two pets, several other players, and all their droids, and made his way to Master Squad Leader pretty fast.
Dont' know if the formula has changed since then, though.

What? You mean Squad Leader is still a profession in this game?!?
Squad Leader is one of the poor classes that suffers severely from the "Practically Empty Skill Box" syndrome...

Squad leader gets xp for having the pets in the group, but his commands don't work on them. rational is that they're animals, they don't understand his commands [though that doesn't explain faction pets].
when I was levelling SL, I'd always havea pet out, so I'd get SL xp, even wehn otherwise 'solo'.
formup, retreat, etc don't work on pets.

well i was doin SL at one time... i compared the to hit and such for my pets...
it seemed they the ranged andn melle defences were useless for them... but with +10 or so to each who can really tell...
the rally and retreat had no effect on them (tried the retreat while on a bike, they didn't keep up any better)...
the only thing that could possably be working is the group terr negoit... it seemed i had to slow down less often with the faster pets i had...
i never tried the distribute wounds so dunno about that...
steady aim and volly fire have no effect either...
now i only tested this with creature pets, not faction... so it might work for them...

Hehe - I think you'll find that the SL skills are either generally all broken or unnoticable anyway so you'd never tell in the first place

I was Master SL for a while and you get the XP from them, I guess they also get the passive Melee & Ranged defense too. If you go out hunting Naffs with a 10 man group plus 3-4 pets you get buckets of SL xp
