I cant seem to get assisting pets to aggro my pet and not me...I have trouble especially with quenker missions. I try /masking, /takeing, /peaceing, having my pet stay attacking the lair, but no matter what it seems when creatures spawn they'll aggro me instead of my tank. When they assist, too...I'll have my tank attack one, while i sit far away all covered and peaced, but the assisting mobs will still attack me and not my pet. Is there any tips you have to help me better manage my aggro control? I usually like to hunt unbuffed, I'm rifle so I just carry my gun and brandy, so when I get an aggro on me its a real problem.

Best thing I can tell you is when tapping a lair for the first time, only hit it once, then stop. Let the first one pop, send pet and don't shoot anything until the spawn is all out. Second tap, take the lair down to just above half, and repeat. Don't shoot until all 3(I think it's 3) are out of the lair and on your pet. If you shoot after you've done enough damage for the spawn to pop, they will aggro you for the damage to the lair. I've never had too much trouble with that, you might want to target each as they pop and have your pet attack if this doesn't help.

Yeah, this can be tricky because creatures seem to love attacking the CH sitting on the sidelines with his rifle (even if there's a melee player hacking the lair to bits). If you're not wearing armor you'll need to be fast on your feet. If you're taking a lot of heat (like the entire final spawn from a merek lair), I find running around the lair in big circles helps. Burst run if you can.
First, /peace so you don't keep attacking the guys chasing you. Keep yourselfmoving and have your pet attack your pursuers one at a time (only moving him on to a new target when he's secured aggro from the current one). Make surethe circle you're running in takes youpast your pet so he doesn't have to go far to pick up aggro. Keep yourselfstimmed and keep brandy/blue milk at the ready. If your pet has special attacks, make sure he keeps using them (enemies seem to really hate that).

welcome to the feature added with the great nerf.
creatures and NPC's have a "chance" of recogniseing you control the pet and attacking you.
With eatch patch since then the chance seems to have gotten larger and larger to almost 100%
On my grind back to master I am finding that is exactly what happens.

Had this problem going up the rifleman tree too. I did get to be a rather fast at watching radar and moving out. Have pets attack nest. wait till everything is out and engaged, works most of the time. have pets engage each dot that pops out, a little better but is a major pain in the rear. use single shots agains mobs instead of aoe's, this helps agro control, slower killing. keep a pixie on your hotbar for those times that you need it, works great! I cant think of anything that works 100% of the time except buffs and armor. I do the buffs when I'm hunting for contracts, hide meat etc just because of time saving of not having to worry about strays coming after me. keep your helmet on your hot bar and use it only as needed.

I don't have my pet attack the lair because the spawns will almost always ignore it and aggro me. Try sending the pet to attack a mob then shooting, tap the lair yourseld to make it spawn. The second wave of mobs will spawn as soon as the lair is damaged and the third when it drops below 66%. They may not come immediately but if you peace at these points they will spawn.
As a CH/Rifleman I normally keep my pet back on guard while i take a few shots at a mob, when it aggros me the pet will intercept it. If you have a combat capable mount you can teach it a different attack command to your main combat pets and keep it in reserve incase you get a second aggro.

Are you grouped with your pet? It seems to help if you're not. Just like with harvester droids, they draw aggro and run away all the time.
