I know how to name pets, i have done it many times. But I have a few pets who will just not learn the names, I have tried numerous times, checked spelling, capitalization, but they still wont learn. Any ideas?

There are some names that pets can't have. It would be nice to have this list available to avoid the trouble you are going through.

Jade is the name of the woman that marries Luke in the books I think. Regardless, she is part of the universe.
Oswald not so sure.

Yup, I knew of Mara Jade so I tried a very obvious SW name...hence Luke.
I was allowed to name my pet Luke but not Jade. That was the point of my post.

I wanted to give the name Jade to a vesp I had recently tamed, but it just wouldn't take. I figured there may be some sort of Star Wars naming restriction having to do with the Star Wars Universe so I tested it by trying to name it Luke. That worked lol.
So I guess there is a secret list of naughty names you cannot use and Jade is one of them.

As a matter of fact yes I did have trouble but just once. The pet was a Tat mountain squil (was bored and had a free spot). Nothing special or different about the name. Just wouldn't let me name it at the time. Haven't tried since but if I still can't name him beforeI get tired of having it in my datapad I'll repost my non success. Was not someone elses pet though. It's arelated pet naming problemso I posted. Plus I don't wanna go to stupid to do stupid for stupid. That is all.

I haven't had that problem when I named somebody's last week. The only time I've had problems with naming was if it wasn't a "legal" name. I can't remember the exact name I tried before, but it was something like Queen, or another title-like name. The pet would not take that name, but it would accept the commands. Did you maybe try a name that wasn't allowed and recognized by the naming system?
