I'm wondering ..... is the spawning of some animals related to the time on theplanet ???

Do some animals only spawn during daylight ..or nights..... maybe only weekends ....or third weekend of the month?

I did notice there are many more critters in the weekend ..... i also play mondays during the day .... and then all planets are flipping empty ...... i guess this is related to the number of people playing ..... but it is WRONG. Even on quite days i should be able to find more then 10 critters in an hour.....i also pay for the mondays .....

It's related to the number of people on the planet. One evening I spent two hours on Rori and didn't see squat except mission spawns and mobs very close to the main cities. Ithink this is part of the reason for the extra race tracks, it gets people out to other planets thus increasing the gen rate. I also send in a bug report whenever I spend more than an hour on a planet without seeing spawns.

I noticed more screecher static spawns appearing in the night cycle. Might just be me going nuts though.

it also seems that after a server reset there are more wild lairs around...and correct me if i'm wrong, but i was told by someone that TOO MANY people on the planet will decrease the spawns to prevent a server crash...don't know if that is true, but it sorta makes sense....so i guess it's just a crapshoot

I used to have my best luck just after a server restart. some agree some dont lol I think after server resets it all planets start out with a set number of spawns then increase or decrease due to population and server demand. just my theory of why I was always fortunate after :-)

it is definatly true the larger the population of people on the planet the more frequent spawns.

servers reset 3 days a week now. try Sat mornings and see what you think

TH once said that is how it was supposed to be. but we all know what is supposed to happen isnt what always does lol

a long time ago when he found out that the opposite was happening he said he was going to check into it lol

nothing was ever said again.

I read once in the developement forum where they said servers respond to demand and if you had many people in an area the severs would take resources from an area that was low in demand.

this would explain why on shadowfire the mining outpost on dant has alot of spawns but on the other side of the planet you could travel for a long period of time and see nothing.

So what we have is if theres alot people there are alot of spawns. everything I have seen in this game has lead me to believe this is true.

There seems to be no diff in spawns for day and night. I know that it has been talked about many times in these fourms about a simple way to help add some intrest and content for everyone but on the long list of issues I think that it would get pushed fairly far back.

It would be cool to see stronger MOB's on avg at night vs. day. Or rare tamable babies that only spawn at night or day.

My rares have come at all different times of the day.

GPS Noonish Central US time
Screecher 9 PM central US time
Gaping Spider Queen. Was on a weekend Morning.
Merek Deaths Head was in the Evening.

So for me they spawn at all times...

Dont think time has anything to do with spawns.

I do think certain spawns like GPS have specific areas they spawn in.

I think you mix up 2 things here .... i'm talking about the ingame planet-time.......that isn't in sync with our world time .....

There is a key combination to show the time on the planet you are currently on ..... just can't think of it right now
