I have a deed for a couple BE pets, bot non-CH level dewbacks. What do I need to do to get them trained as a mount? I am guessing I need to trade the deed to a master CH and then they would train and transfer back to me. Or do I need to add the pet to my datapad first, and then have it trained? I just want to make sure I don't do something wrong and then I can't get the pet trained.
Thanks

When you select to train a BE pet, (changing it from a deed to the pet) the pet usually begins life as a baby (aaah!), as such you will not be able to mount the pet untill they are old enough.
(dewbacks I believe need to be level 8 or 9 before they are mountable)
It is best, therefore, to train the pet yourself untill it is old enough, and then you can trade the pet to a x,x,x4 Creature Handler to Mount it for you.
Hope this helps.

Ok here is another question then.. I have no CH ability at all. Will I be able to trade the pet to a CH to have it trained as a mount when it grows into adult form? I used to dabble in CH many months ago, and it used to not be a problem, then SOE got pretty strict with the transfer command around when I got out of it. I don't want to take the pet out of deed form and not be able to transfer it.

Yeah no prob, as you are not a CH I don't think you can convert the BE deed to a pet, you can trade the deed to a CH who can train it (convert it into a pet) then you have 2 options:
1) trade back and you keep the pet till it is old enough to be a mount, find a CH and get them to train it as a mount for you
2) leave the baby with the CH and trade back when it is old enough and has been mounted (approx 5 days)
the choice is yours,
Obviously option 2 is only possible if you trust the CH not to leave with your pet

Actually he can convert the deed to a pet, anyone can do this. He will just have a baby pet in his DP which will do nothing until traded to a CH for training. What I usually do is get the deed and create the pet then leave it in my DP for about4 days normally for Non CH pets they should be grown by then but if not just look at their CL and wait until CL 8 or 9. Then get a CH and have them train it for you.
