Thread: XP ratio question: why do peeps with lvl 20 pets get almost twice as much as i do?

I use either a Cupa lvl 10 or a Bearded Jaxx lvl 10 and i get 336 xp per naff with either pet.. now peeps with razor cats or Squills get 600 xp per naff with lvl 20 pets.. how is this so? Isnt it supposed to be the lower pet the higher xp u get per kill?
grateful for any reply.. is there a xp difference between pets and if so which pet generates the most xp?

I agree, I play an Alt character as a MCH on Bloodfin. I used a level 19 BE Kwi in the Geo Caves. While I was there I noticed some strange facts. My level 19 Kwi hit for approximately 1100 xp perCrazed Geonosian,while my level 45 Gurreck got approximately 840xp. My level 10 Razor Cat wound out at a whopping 600 or so.
I dont think there is a distinct pattern

I do know using a lvl 11 Bearded Jax got me only 650xp using against Rancors! I'm looking around for some lvl 15-20's to use against them...

In general, using a pet of lower leve that the mob you are attacking gets you better exp, the lower the better, but there is a cutoff point after which going even lower dramatically reduces exp. I experienced this many times, while working on Ch exp on dantoine. We'd take voritor hunter missions, and then try lower and lower level petrs to see how the exp went. With the pets we had we found that l15 gave the best exp (just over 1k) as the next lower we had was a cl9 pet wich gave much less.
Never been interested enough to work out the formula as i dont just grind one kind of mob over and over, but suffice to say that if you have a selection of different level pets just pull out lower and lower ones till you find the sweet spot for the mobs you are hunting.

It is like that to stop us taming say a nuna then having it nibble a Rancors little toe while the Rncor is otherwise distracted and getting k's of ch exp.

It seems that the CL 14-20 range seems to be best. I get 1400 per rancor with a CL 18, my CL 27 gets 1200. I also got 1400 with a CL 16.

/agree - found this out against quenkers on Dant. My level 18 pet gave me alot more xp than my level 13 pet
