Thread: Best tank level35?

Hi, I am CH2223 for the moment, and am just wondering the blessed day I'll become a master:

1. What would be the baddest meanest toughest tank you can get (bio pet of course)?
2. What would it cost (and I know it depends on my galaxy's economics, yada yada)???

3. Is anybody using this tactic: two bad-a$$ tanks rotating (one fights, one gets healed)?

4. Could a master rifleman with two such pets survive fights against high-level stuff like Nightsister elders or some of the krayts? (I know you can solo those with conceal shot, but it takes forever and a day)
- I'm speaking total solo, with buffs, food, etc. That is, only one human player, two level35 pets (maybe them food-buffed as well)?

6. Anybody actually doing this? Or would three level-23 pets, or one "über" level-70 mean lean hairy killing machine be better?

It all depnds on what and how you fight:

1. What would be the baddest meanest toughest tank you can get (bio pet of course)?

I'm currently using a CL70 BE'd Razor Cat with all resists in the mid 30's+, no specials, 560-580 DAM 1.75s attack 0.7 to hit. He's a very good general purpose tank (but I'm always trying to make better)

2. What would it cost (and I know it depends on my galaxy's economics, yada yada)???

If I ever sell Grendel I'll probably give him to a friend when I make a "better" CL 70. Before that I'd sell him for 5 million. Good, high level pets are a sod to make/get the DNA for. As such they are "priceless"hence will either be given away free or cost a fortune (no middle ground).

3. Is anybody using this tactic: two bad-a$$ tanks rotating (one fights, one gets healed)?

I'm not - but being a BE means I have cases of 1300+ pet stim-D's so healing isn't a problem. I've found that havinga single level 70pet out is generaly better than a pair of 35's. With massed opponents having a pet purely for personal protection is good - although I'm tending to use a droid for this these days. That said, I have a pair of Giant Anglers that are good for taking down groups of mid-level mobs and have used pairs of Giant Crystal snakes as well (gave up using them since theprey tends to run too much)

I honestly don't know since I've never tried it.

See answer to 3. As I said at the beginning - it'smostly down to your personal style.

saw a post on the trade forums on eclipse yesterday or the day before for pets made on the solo day of the crafting "nerf" and he made a lvl 35 gurcat with medium armor and about 50% kinetic, 30-40 damage but that's prob the best pet i've seen since CH was nerfed hard

Regarding being a rifleman and tanking Krayts with 2 pets..

This is exactly my goal as well. I'm sure it is very doable, exp with some nice pets and some high Q pet stims.

if you can find a good BE you can get a lvl35 pet with 9-10k ham, armor and 60% kin, usually with poison too, dmg is low but they are great tanks, i used 2 such pets when i was still master

EDIT:

unless you can heal like crazy your pets will never last in a fight against a krayt, unlikely against an NS elder either, bank in the good old day this would have been possible but never now
