Anyone else having this problem?

My pet stims work fine, but my wife, who is a master doc is unable to use regular stims on my pets.

WTH? It this yet another stealth nerf?

Hmmm. I was able to heal my pets with Stimpak B's a couple days ago. I'll check again when I get home from work

Cheers,

Mike

I was able to use woundpacks to heal pet wounds a couple of days ago as well. Not to mention buff pets using enhance packs. I buffed a lesser dewback last night, as a matter of fact.

I have a doc character on Flurry and a CH on Infinity, so I have experience in both healing things and bossing animals around.

It's been my experience that whenever I try to heal a pet that's still alive and kicking, it works fine. If I try to heal a pet who has been incapped, however, its health and action don't increase and it just keeps lying there, poor thing. I've found, however, that if the pet is stored and then called again its health and action will be increased as a result of the stims. If I just store a pet who has been incapped and then call it again with my CH character who has no medic skills and no stims, it will have very low HAM when it appears again.

So based on that it seems to me that it's not that regular meds don't work on pets any more, it's just that they can't bring the pet back from an incap.

Whew, you guys are scaring me. Glad to see this isn't a universal issue, though I'm perplexed what happened to DarthEric?

you get med XP for healing their wounds? I thought they dropped that when they stopped giving XP for using stims on them.

Damage (as in stims), no XP. But if they have black bars, you can get med XP (at the usual wound healing rate, twice the number of wounds healed, roughly) for using wound packs on pets.

You also get med XP for buffing pets, which is what I used my experimental low level (enhance A and B) buff packs for. For paying customers, it's enhance-Ds only, of course.

I knew about the Buffing XP, never really thought about the wound healing, as I dropped Medic a long time ago. Might have to hit Mos Eisley and let some a newbs heal my pets. You know got to give back a bit to the less experienced.

My Doc friend healed my pets last night with no problem.

Are you using BE pets? Are they mount type pets? Some types have known issues if incapped. Can you give us the types of pets and whether they were BE or wild?

In case you didn't know, you can feed your pets food to heal their wounds. Any food will do.
