Thread: How do you catch a Plodding Falumpaset???
I'm trying to catch a Plodding Falumpaset and train him as a mount for a friend of mine, and I'm having some trouble. I got coordinates from swgcreatures on Naboo, and when I arrived, did a little scouting and found a rocky shelter with four adult Plodding Falumpasets around it. I sent my Mountain Dewback in for support in taking them all out with the intention of clearing the adults and putting a couple of shots in the spawn point to hopefulling bring out a baby. Every time George (my Dewback) and I would get down to the last Falumpaset, another two adults would appear before I could even shoot at the lair. After clearing through a total of 12 adults, I decided to pop a shot off at therocky shelterJUST as George was finishing off the last adult. Four more Falumpasets appeared, and two of them started healing the lair. At this point, my frustration was pretty high, so I decided to examine them, and it said that they weren't tameable.
My understanding from swgcreatures.com and here is that the Plodding Falumpaset IS trainable and rideable for non-CH; is this information correct? Can anyone offer some advice on how and where I might be able to catch one?
It appears that the plodding falumpaset has been stealth-extincted.
If you /examine a plodding falumpaset, it now tells you tamable: no. Which means that babies never spawn from plodding falumpasets.
The irony here is that plodding falumpasets were put into the game so that they'd serve as a non-CH mount critter for the falumpaset/humbaba model mount. When the mount publish went live, we saw our first plodding falumps, and they did spawn babies. I tamed several and sold them as mounts to non-CH.
Sometime after the mount publish, around the vehicle publish or the meganerf of publish 5, the plodding falumps got bugged and and were taken out of the game with no announcement. This for the motley kaadu as well; they were introduced to be a CL 10 and below non-CH mount, and when you /examine them now, yo get the tamable: no message.
As long as we're on the subject: Does anyone know if Lowland Brackasets are still around? I went to Dathomir looking for one and came back empty handed. Granted..........I got there and realized immediately that a 0/1/1/1 Nov CH had NO business on Dathomir and didn't spend as much time scouting for one as I normally would have.(saw someRancors in the distance, and my attention span went tohell)But before I DO go out to that dreadfully dark and ominous place again, has anyone actually SEEN a Lowland Brackaset lately? And more specifically: Has anyone seen a Lowland Brackaset (baby) lately?

I have seen many Brackaset Male (baby)'s, Brackaset Males, Brackaset Females, and Surefoot Brackasets. I have not seen a Lowland Brackaset, nor have I seen any while tracking. I don't know if they even exist anymore.
just an idea, since you seem to be looking for a Non CH flumpasetmount, have you tried taming another type of flumpaset and then trading it in to get a cl10 one? It would be interesting to see if that will generate a CL10 flumpaset pet or something else.

Has any CH tried trading in aCH pet toone of theNPC CH trainersfor a non-CH pet?
I don't think you can use the tradein program unless you are a non-CH, and there's the issue of being unable to give a CH pet to a non-CH...or at least in theory there is.

I don't think you can use the tradein program unless you are a non-CH, and there's the issue of being unable to give a CH pet to a non-CH...or at least in theory there is.
From what I understand, SioBabble is correct. A CH cannot use the trade in program, and a CH pet cannot be traded to a Non CH. This shouldn't be able to work.

An update to my Falumpaset saga: I ended up contacting a BE, and he sold me a DL 5 Falumpaset. It's as weak as a creature can be and will be useless in combat, but he assured me that I should be able to have it trained as a mount when it hit its full 5th level. I'll probably post here again if I have any trouble training it as a mount.
Just be prepared for it to take a bit to hit that level. It will probably stay at level 1 for a few days, and then jump to level 5 on the last day.
