I just wondered if someone could tell me if Prowling Gurrecks can be tamed,where to find them and if they are hard to find.Also is it true that they have light armour.Thanks

Yes they can and they are really nice to have with 65% Kinetic and 65% Energy Resist.
They have no armor but they are really cool 
I myself have 3 of them and being Master CH I swap in either a Greater Sludge Panther or a Grand Wrix to team with it for 70 levels of pets out.

Oh and they are found mine on Endor within 1500M S or SW of the smugglers outpost.
They are static spawns which means you cannot get missions for them.
They spawn in groups of either 1, 2 or 4 has been my observation.
They are considered semi-rare and it took me 2 months to find my 1st baby spawn.
The adults themselves spawn pretty good but its getting the baby to spawn that takes the time.
