I"m really new to this whole CH thing. I was just planning learn a set are skills from my pets then letting them go. When i have all the skills i need then i'm going to have me BE friend and make me some pets to my liking. One that tanks and the other two for attacking. Along with a combat droid and me shooting i think i will do very well. I can only hope.

This could be interesting ... a wild pet with a innate L3 abiliy which is a freebie plus all slots trained vs. a bio pet with all slots trained but one less L3 ability?

The execution date is set ... the tortured screams of tens of thousands of beloved pets and their masters will resonate throughout the galaxies ... cover your ears and cry!

Good thing i posted my idea cuz now i'm not liking it to much...lol So in other word a wild pet can have up 2 4 abilities 1 it comes with and 3 I can train it, and the BE pet only gets the 3 i can train it. hmmmm.

Guess only trail and error is going to tell me with i would work for me.

Ya, but the BE pets overall stats should be at least a little better ... so, I still say this could be ineteresing. Might boil down to exactly what you want the pet for ... tank, or maybe just a pet that can not do any real damage but can land a knockdown, stun, bleed, etc. once in a while!

Since the new pet patch. Its so hard to choose what pets to grind and enhance.

Hate to go through all this work and SOE messes us up again.

Without being able to see stats on wild tames due to the carbo-clone factor, things get a bit headache-ish.

At Master level, at this point in the game, what would be considered the best tri-combao to train and enhance?

At the moment I'm just usingtamed rather than BE'd pets. Got three, 2 greater sludge panthers named Buffy and Willow, and a crimson razor cat named Xander.

Buffy is the real hard hitter, with Marring Storm, Frenzied Assault, (and more stuff to come....)

Willow has lots of specials, like knockdown, blind, feint etc (only one I'm missing is hamstring really)

And Xander is the one who gets in the way (ie, the tank), got aggression, health and consitution (gonna need the lvl 2s there soon, and will have intimidate and thick skin as soon as I find it...)

Early days yet, but they do seem to be working out fine enough. Between them when grouped they can easily take out any single mob of my level without my input. Although Xander is often incapped on the ground by the end.

So maybe there's the thing, don't really need more specials for the Xander, just max health, constitution and armour. Maybe best to go for a BE'd pet for that.....

In conclusion... Don't know really, still feeling my way through the new system. Knew the old system, but only to CL45 - only made Master recently.

Just a query here as I haven't tested it too much yet - but do BE pets, for example a level 30, get the same number of training slots as a wild? (discount the innate - thats a bonus on the wild anyway) Up till now I have only worked with BE mounts of level 10 and compared them to wild level 10. Wild Cu Pa get 4 slots. A BE Cu Pa got only 3. Wild spat got 4 - Kashyyyk mount only got 3. All level 10. Anyone else finding this?
