Looking to get some advise on where to hunt and what to hunt in order to get good xp.
Ive just made it to CH 2-2-2-2 by doing hurton stalker missions on Dant, but am now finding it verydifficult to start climbing the ladder further when only getting 429 xp per stalker.
The cool thing is, one box to go until I can start taming GSP's which is what I have wanted to do since starting lol so please help!

You do not say what your combat profession is but the fastest XP is to go to Yavin and do the Geo Caves. You just sic your bet on everything that every one else is killing. It only has to hit once for full xp. On Dant you can do Quenker missions or, if you have the skill, you can do Voritor Hunters.

I got myself a Boar Wolf instead of a GSP. Its an ugly pet but is surprisingly good
CL25
Kinetic Resist - 50%
HAM - 9000
They are fairly easy to get as well. The only drawback is that they are not as fast as GSP's. I havent tried a GSP but Im having too much fun with my Boar Wolf (Pork-Chops)

Agreed, find a group doing Geo Cave and just tap em for full XP or Quenkers on Dantooine. I'd stay clear of Voritors, they're more trouble then they're worth. Nasty Disease.

Don't do geo caves unless you are with lots of people or have a huge mind. I went there under the advice of my fellow CHs and got my arse handed to me. and I didn't go alone

You have to know what you are doing there... I mastered CH in 3 weeks (the last week I spent only 1 hour at Geo to get master, was 4/4/3/4 until the end of the week) doing Geo for an hour every couple of nights, unarmored and unbuffed. Took me two or three attempts before I got my procedure down, and then it was cake.

Ive tried going to the Geo Caves twice now and so far I have been destroyed within a matter of minutes the first time and the second time I tried sending my pet after a creature (who was attacking a player) from a distance and the creature just turned around and killed my pet!
Bothtimes I was with a couple of other players to help tank the creatures. Also noticed that being a master pikeman hardly helped at all!
Whats the secret to getting through the Geo cave and getting decent CH xp? Is it pets with ranged attacks? or something else?

Snag a pet with a ranged attack like a dune lizard and have it attack from a distance.

If you don't have a very strong elite profession to handle the Geo caves, it is very dangerous to go there. Even as TKM the Geo caves are very difficult without help from other people.
If you are a master pikeman or any other melee profession, you would probably do best to get buffed and go kill rancors on Dathomir. I killed rancors there and made sure to send my pet to attack ever single one I killed. The pet just has to hit it one time before you kill it. I did it that way and mastered CH in a little over a week.
Enraged Bull rancors do KD/dizzy but if you have a good melee profession you can probably avoid being KD'ed (there is also food you can eat that will raise your Defense vs KD up around 100) much and you get 1400ish xp per each one you kill. Enraged rancors are easy to kill with a melee profession and they give around 900 xp each. All the other rancors give between 600 and 800 xp each. You can max out your CH xp easily in one buff session doing these and at the same time probably max out your weapons xp too (if you are doing the fs grind for Jedi).

I'm afraid that my beloved GSPs are yesterday's mid level tank champs. The boar wolf is now superior as a midl level tank.
Enraged rancor missions are a great way to get CH XP. CL 25 pet like a GSP or a boar wolf will get you 1300 XP per rancor. The catch is you need to either be a master elite combat prof to stand a chance, or be grouped with some others (I hang out with a couple of TKMs who tank for me and my GSP).

I just used my final respec to end my long long dreary existance as a Master Pistoleer/MBH. I'm not a Master Rifleman/MBH Pistoleer 0404, Marksman 4404 with 4 points left over for FS skills (1.6 million XP banked as well).
1) I'm having a hardtime adjust to this template, obviously as a Master Pistoleer/MBH creating havok was my best strategy and I did that by constantly moving. Now I feel like I'm dragging a boat anchor around with me. Do you guys normally attack your mark from a prone position?
2) Which FS Skill would best complement this template?
Thanks for the feedback,

You'll have to live with the boat anchor. You will no longer outrun anything in the game. Prone is useful for the opening volley - after that it is suicidal so stand and move if you can. Snares are your friends as are roots and knockdowns. Expect to get owned by creatures at close range.

Ranged Accuracy or Ranged Defense
