I just tamed a few critters then all of a sudden I get this msg I have never seen this one before...

Calling this Pet would Exceed your Control Level Ability.

LOL I am MCH an trying to tame lvl 54 spiders... I logged completely out of game an came back in an still got the same msg. I can call out pets higher than this lvl like a lvl 64 festering squill.

The BEST 3 pet names I have ever seen are.... DearSOE PleezFix DaBugz

This may be an off-the-wall suggestion, but do you have any other pets called? That message comes up when I do my math wrong and try to call a CL 16 and a CL18 pet at the same time (my current max level is 33). Maybe one didn't store properly, so it thinks you have a (for example) CL 50 pet sitting out somewhere, and 50 + 54 would exceed the CL 70 max level at MCH. Can you call out your squill right after you get that message when you try to tame?

How long were you logged out for? It can take 5-10 minutes for your character to completely unload.

This has happened to me - and it was easily fixed once I realized I had a pet out that I thought I had stored. It was a fresh tame that I left behind by the lair that had spawned it. Sometimes the store command doesn't actually work, and when you try to pull another pet you get that error message.

I noticed this happens more commonly with new tames than with established pets. Disconnecting and then reconnecting tends not to work, as you've not left the game long enough to automatically restore the pet to your datapad. Just check the pets in your pad to be sure all are stored properly the next time this crops up.
