Thread: Is this the Focus of SOE Devs??
in responce to this... this is a player run economy... if vendors go down there is not really much of a way to get needed items... with the number of items per house in effect there is no way i'm going to be able find some of the rarer items i look for...
and harvestors were bugged for months earlier in the game... power being lost, the base extraction rate getting messed up... among the bugs...
IMHO crafting is not the prime focus of the game... with out PvE and PvP, what use is crafting??? but without crafting we can all still kill things and use looted weapons (be alot more TKM)...

Sorry guys but I did this all Tongue in Cheek, if you missed that then you need to take a deep breath, push yourself away from the computer and go outside. By gum there is an actual sun out there.
Anyway we all bow to the great diety, VENDOR, may he live forever. ![]()

think about it, look how many crafters have millions of credits. most of them. i have several crafting freinds and every single one is a millioner. now making this amount of money is simply not possible for people who have only combat skills, unless they get some uber loot from krayts or something that they can sell. so you decide.
Eh? Crafters can make a lot of money, but so can combat types. My 1/1/1/1 CH - 0/1/1/1 Pistoleer is currently making money faster than my Master Architect/Master Artisan/Master Merchant.

I've got to disagree with this.
CHs, who are also scouts, have one of the most lucrative resource gathering skills in the game. When Corellian avian meat is being bought at the rate of 150 credits a unit, as it was a couple of weeks ago on Ahazi, all the sudden taking down even rasps becomes worthwhile. I recently sold 12k of bone (mostly from sharnaff hunts) for 15 cr a unit, because it was a huge stack of quality bone. Do the math and figure out how much that brings in. Go to Lok when the leathery hide has good quality, and go vesp/perlek/gurnaset/snorball/kimo hunting, and prepare to make a ton of money selling it to armorsmiths. Toss in the comparative chump change from the missions, and you're talking much cash flowing in.
I'm a millionaire on Ahazi, and it's due to several things: paying attention to what animal resources are hot, going on hunts to get those resources, and then finding artisans who need the materials. I'm not as rich as I could be because a lot of hide, bone, and meat was given away to PA members and a master tailor/dancer friend of mine who keeps me well dressed and mentally buffed.
Also, having a dewback and a ronto go and kick swooper and meatlump butt has also paid off with rare loot drops (like force crystals, and even things like satchels at 5k per) and just the cash off them. It adds up after a while.
