Thread: I have 31 pet level points, why wont it let me take my pet out?

I have CH 0-3-0-4 which adds up to 31 pet level points. I even checked my skill tree on the left and it says 31 pet level points but when I try to take out my pet that has a difficulty level 31, it wont let me. It says I dont have enough points to take it out but I thought it INCLUDED level 31 if I had that many pet level points? Am I calculating wrong? It lets me take out up to level 30 but nothing higher. Please help!

What kind of pet is it? If it is an agressive pet, you will need at least two boxes in Taming.

I dont know if its an agro pet, when I checked his stats it wont show me. Its one of those water something snakes, I forgot which cuz I cant play the game just yet. But my friend gave it to me and I tried to take it out but I cant. How can I tell if its agro cuz it doesnt say so when I examine it and look at its stats.

Yes, that's your problem... it's an agro critter. You will need enough bonuses to your taming vicious creatures to call it. That skill mod is in the Taming branch, and you won't get the first bonus until Taming 2.

Another solution if you can spare the cash is to buy items of clothing that have a +taming modifier. These are quite common now. I have two pieces of clothing with +13 in each, which gives me +26 in total. In practice you only see a benefit up to +25 anything over that is ignored. This clothing has allowed me to have pets that I couldn't otherwise have without using valuable skill points.

I searched the trade forum for my server to find a BE that sold +taming tissues or whatever they are called.
I then asked my PA tailor to make me clothes with them in.
Alternatively search the trade form for persons selling ready made +taming clothes.
Another tactic is to visit the larger player cities and explore, locate and visit all the vendors. I found a great vendor selling affordable crates of good quality stim b's this way.

Who makes these clothes?
Taylors make the actual clothes but need tissues made by BE to make them. A good set will have +25 Tame/Train and +25 to Mask Scent if you have Mask Scent. You might have to buy a number of articles. I have a shirt and pants I bought. Shirt is Mask Scent and pants is Tame/Train.
