like someone else said if you /examine the deed and it does not show you a cl level, then its a prepatch deed and is way above lvl 70. You won't be able to ever tame it.

You said it was from a person who dropped CH... if it is a deed, he never used it as a pet because you can not "redeed" a pet. Once it's tamed it needs to be transfered into anothers datapad via the transfer command or in trade window. You can never get it back into the inventory.

Long story short, it sounds like you were taken.

I bought a kimogila that was prenamed from a guy near Coronet. Now when I go to put him in my datapad it always says I lack the skill to tame him. Is he over level 70? He was supposed to be level 70 which would make me think I should be fine....but even with +25 pants, +16 shirt and +16 jacket it still gives me the same message. Did I get screwed with an over lvl 70 pet?

BE deeds can be named anything, it will still show up as "kimogila" when you tame it. If the level doesn't display on the deed, chances are it is one of the old ones which all seem to be about level 85. You also don't mention whether those plusses are to taming vicious or taming wild, which might make a difference for non-wookiees (not qualified to comment on that, I've got more fur than all of my pets).

does is say it is a lvl 70 in your datapad? you didnt mention on the clothes you have, whether it is vicous taming and taming or is it masking and camo. that will make a difference.

Sorry, the clothing is + to both taming viscious and wild in each piece for the above numbers. He's names and in my inventory. I can examine him, but my only option is to attempt to tame him from the radial menu. He's located in my regular inventory. The person I bought him from was one of the many that had dropped CH and moved to another profession. He specifically told me it was level 70, but there's nothing in the examination that would tell me that.

I appreciate the help. I just wanted to check here before I send an email to the sender. I didn't buy it for furniture, I wanted to use him. I just wanted to see if I needed to buy more bio'd clothing and try again to tame him. My taming Viscious is at 106 I believe with the clothing on and Taming Wild is higher than that....

As a Master CH, even with all your BE clothes your max is still only CL70 for pets. If the Examine on the pet deed does not show the Kimo CL then it's a Pre-patch pet meaning that the Kimo is actually about CL90ish so you can't tame it, ever.

You were ripped off, best talk to the seller to get a slear answer on what he sold you. The new BE kimo's will show you the pet CL on the examine window of the pet deed.

on your clothes, regardless to how much you clothes enhances your taming skills anything over +100 to each of the stats will notbe used (example: if you have +115 to wild taming it would be just only +100) this was told t me. just like any other pet it should read the lvl of the pet in you data pad. i had 3 BE pet and they all say the lvl of the pet even when they where nerfed... ( the ones that say LVL 1(0)

Also, you can only get a max of +25 for any stat increase as well. The +16 shirt and +16 jacket aren't doing anything for you. You might as well swap them out for +'s in some other area.
