I came to SWG near launch.
When I arrived I picked up a ranged weapon and tamed my first pet, since then I never let those 2 things go.
After about 8 months of doing the same ole thing day after day I decided it was time to give another game a try. After a few months there (FFxi), I left to come back to SWG. When I was back for my second tour of duty I had nothing to my character but 1 Huurton Matron in my DP to help me do missions so that I could buy a Scout Blaster and fare to get back to Cnet. Luckily some players stopped me so I could train thier pets and tipped me 45k and gave me a Speeder Bikefor what I did for them. Then I decided to go to my favorite planet Rori, and on my via trip on Naboo Theed someone gave me thier 2 wildGMs, so there I was on my way back to what I once was.
About 2 weeks had passed by and I was running Sharnaff missions with my super BE'd RC and a friend I had picked up. I came around the corner and right in front of me was my first ever GPS sighting, so of course my friend and I kill it and then go to work on the Sharnaff lairs we had come to take out. Mid way through the Sharnaffs I had my 2nd GPS sighting, this one was a baby btw and it was tamed on the1st try with no nothing for taming bonuses.
1 week later my pets and I were strong enough to tackle Dathomir type creatures. I had always loved hunting huge creatures that roared during battle so the Bull Rancors (and any Rancor since I was in god mode thanks to the Devs whackin the game out of all reason with super buffs,*** were you ignoramouses thinking btw)were my logical prey. On my 5th Bull Rancor lair, on the 3rd Bull Rancor to spawn was the baby and with the help of a lot of taming bonus clothing Sonau Elokta was the owner of the 2 greatest creatures a MCH could hope for and both within 1 month of coming back to SWG. On the way back to the starport I picked up a Rhoa Kwi Pack Leader & Rhoa Kwi Guardian from the same lair. Then once I arrived in Cnet another MCH was leaving and handed over thier Merek Death Head baby.
The best time for me in SWG was both leading the charge on the Imperial base on Talus with a huge Rebel groupkilling all the pc Imps dinking around the base and all those that came in on the shuttles(back in the day when a MCH meant something), and the short time both my GPS and Bull Rancor were young enough to be used at the same time, but did I get a badge for what possibly could have been the one time in the history of SWG that was done (BR/GPS used at the same time).
Ifyou're anything other than a Jedi, you'll always come 2nd to the Devs, and rather than sellout what I am and become one of those not even rare Jedi. I'd rather move on to a new game, perhaps EQII. Kinda scared since the apples don't fall far from the tree ie SoE.
I don't give myself the title "Wanderhomes Greatest MCH ... ever." for what's in my Datapad, it's my willingness to have always helped those in need as all those around watch ... wellmaybe mydatapad has a little to do with it.
To those CHs on my server my pets stay with me until either I may come back or until server purge. Trust me taming your ownultra rare pets is so much better than having them jump into your datapad.

M8 I am sorry to see you go. As one of the few other MCH on Wanderhome still going I can say the svr will be alot worse off without you, and your datapad. Nearly all CH I come across are a friendly bunch and you were no exception - good luckin whatever you end up doing/playing.
I respect your decision to keep your pets and that is your choice. I do think that if you dont come back it would be a true waste to have them go in a server purge though
To some of us those pets are a way of ingame life, not just a posession.
