you get 50 xp everytime some one uses your vendor
you get 50 xp everytime some one enters your building if you have an entrance fee set up
you get 150 xp per hour per merchant you have set up
you might want to take a look at vendor maintenace fees if you are thinking about placing housing deeds on a vendor. it can get rather expensive rather quickly to hold even a small selection of architectural goods ona vendor. good luck with your new business!!

huh? what do u mean i only seem to get exp from selling items off the bazaar and my vendor.
Merchant experience:
It's a brutal grind... here's what you do, you go to your home, you select "create vendor", you place your vendor, you put some money in it, and then, um, you go out, run missions, goof off,and forget about it, lol. Next thing you know, ever few days, you gain a new level box for doing absolutely nothing.
Gee, I just wish I gained xp like that for owning a gun, or owning a crafting tool. It's a real shame we actually have to USE those things to get xp.

You get NO experience from selling. None, nada. It is tied to the person looking at your vendor, which you can gain every 10 minutes.
But check the excellent guides above for more detailed explanations. I'm enjoying CH, and is a welcomed change from frustrating DE.
