Thread: question on dark kilkniks..

these are the green eyed kilkniks that guard the blue leaf temple...the prima guide list them a 15% tamable, and they /exam tamable
i figure 3 thing could be going on here:
1. the listing is inaccurate
2. accurate but "buggy"
3. accurate, but not many have cleared the blue leaf temple enough times in one sitting to find one
was wondering if anyone was persistant enough to tame on of these..i cleared it twice one day last week, did not spawn any babies
any thoughts?

pretty sure a baby wont pop from a POI type spawn. the 'tamable: yes" ...while accurate for almost all creatures...is buggy for the higher ups. Boss pops from lairs are all 'tamable' and frenzied grauls also are 'tamable'...yet no babies has been seen for em (for FGs..none since the nerfage).

point taken, but consider boss spawns have the same spawn percenatge for babies as the gps, yet i for one have only seen a handfull of boss spawns, and not nearly enough of one kind to make a probabilty conclusion fom that data...also consider the fact many time players finish a lair with an aoe shot, thet could inhibit a boss spawn..
the FG is listed at a one in ten thousand baby spawn rate, the bull rancor , on in a thousand..it is vastly easier to kill a huge number of bull rancors then FG's..if you were to find a spawn of FG's, kill the guard and the 3 respawns, one a day everyday, it would take over 9 years to kill 10000...periodically i hear of unconfirmed FG sightings by non mch's...there does exist a slim possibility some of these are accurate...
i don't want to get off topic as i know the frenzied and boss questions are hot topics themselves...i just was wondering if anyone had any information, hard or hearsay on the dark kilkniks

Okay seeing as this was one of the reasons I took up ch. Been awhile since I went to tame these so bare with me if I get this wrong.
Dark defenders are tameable
Hunters are tameable.
The dark defender queens are not tameable
The dark hunters are not tameable.
I know for a fact that the queens had the tameability removed. Which was totally bogus simply because they are the only ones worth haveing. I have never seen a dark hunter baby spawn.
I have seen dark defender and regular hunters spawn.
The truth is though that these creatures are damn near worthless. So do not be disheartened.
I think the defenders are level 32 the hunters 34 the queens a level 40 if I am not mistaken. Nothing special they have really awful resists. They are vuln to acid and electric. Not to mention they have poor kinetic. All in all you will be far better off buying a BE kliknik for all your troubles
Basically if its a kliknik and its stats are even halfway good its untameable. No doubt about it yavin needs work. Most of the creatures are just not worth the effort. I pray the devs make some better tameable klikniks. You see the potential whenever you pop a lair and see the cool ones that pop out. I just wonder why we are not allowed to have those.

the are 40 and 42..i could really care less about quality..just like getting rares..i enjoy collecting..just not sure if the defender and hunter (42, and 40 respectively) are out there..haven't seen a tamed one, and no one at the last beast meeting had either

depends what you mean by boss..i cleared out the temple and they all respawned on a schedule not unlike anything else..and the ones surrounding the temple seemed like spawns of any other creature, as far as respawns..one day this week i'll have to sit up there for a buff session and see how man respawns i can get

The Hunters are cl32, and the defenders are cl27. Just got 2 hunters and a defender last week. But as far as the dark klikniks i have no idea, swgcreatures.com doesnt even list them. Unless its not under Dark Klikniks.

Yeah probabally under dark kliknik. There not even all that rare. If you want the highest level tameable all your have to do is cruise along the river around the blueleaf till you find a nest and work away. You know what yavin needs is tameable kliknik queens. Tameable gian skreeg, and tameable harrowers.

My memory is fuzzy on these, if I am not mistaken I believe these were once tamable in 03.
they might have been changed after the big nerf maybe.
although I never had one I seem to recall someone telling me about having one.
it was along time ago and I may be wrong.

I found them on swgcreatures.com, they are all under the K section, the Dark part comes after kliknik. But it doesnt say if it has babies, has a ? in the spot where is says yes or no. There was a few comments under the kliknik dark hunter. Couple people said somthing about it having a 15%tamming, so i dont know, think ill need to check it all out for myself and see.

i confirmed i saw a Dark kliknik baby 1 months ago. i wanted to grind some riffle xp. so i been to blue leaf temple as when you stay upstair and just have to shot the them without being hit...i cleaned the place 4 times in 1 day... and there was 1 baby that spawned... but i had not the "tame" option as my skills were too low in CH...
So this is a matter of Rate...
