Thread: Creature Vs. Creature Battledome?
What would the CH community think about PvP Creature battles? Could two players agree to Pet vs. Pet battle, to see who has the better creature and skills as a tamer? Could an event be organized to try such a large scale event? Of course, keeping separation between species would be key to keeping balance, but would there even be enough interest in galaxy to try one?
I hate to make it sound too much like ‘Pokemon’ or something... but it’s an idea I’ve been pondering since I came into the CH profession. I've never seen something like this tried, and attending such events would be good entertainment.
I've been thinking along these lines too (is Mipsy the CL 65 bunny really as hard as his stats would suggest?).
My main problem is venues and ground rules.
Anyone know of a good "arena" type location?
What "groundrules" should apply?
Should buffs/heals be allowed? (and if not how to prevent them?)
Creating such an arena, or finding one, would be difficult I think. Ground rules though,I think buffing and healing should be out to see how a Pet relies on it's own stats and abilities to win. I supposea great deal of that would require a lot of honesty on behalf of the CH's part, but also separating the Creature and it's Master far enough to prevent in game 'cheating'. I'm thinking two houses with the balconies facing each other that the CHs command from. I wouldn't have the time to organize such a thing, but gosh would I love to.
Kodiak and I did it in the open area in front of Theeds Starport. We moved back far enough to not be a part of the spam and let the fur fly, so to speak.
Although it was fun, it would be nice if some kind of maneuver was going on and not just 2 creatures standing there wacking each other into oblivion.
My TMB won against the Gaping Spider because it outclassed it, but our rancors were on an even footing and I got smoked by over a 1000 HAM points difference. Good creature management, Kodiak.
