Newbie CH handler here, just wondering if anyone could advise me on what skill boxes I need to command a level 20 pet, thanks in advance.

it's easy look at the skill boxes and look for the max pet level increase just count upto 20 and thats what you need.

And to be a little more helpful.......
You start with lvl 12 at novice. Each block on the first and second levels give you +2 to that, so 1/1/1/1 would give you lvl 20, 2/2/2/2 = lvl 28. Each block on the third level gives you +3 (3/3/3/3 = lvl 40), on the forth level gives you +5 (4/4/4/4 = lvl 60) and Master gives you another +10 which is a max of lvl 70.
Do not read that to mean you should go 1/1/1/1to 2/2/2/2 and so on. There are other threads that recommend the best way to tackle CH.
