Short version - A person may of been ableto get 70k omni out of my stockroom, if not was able to dupe it some how.

Long version

Saturday night a friend asked for 100 omni from me, so I put 100 omni on my vendor for 1 credit. He didn't come and get it and another person came yesterday and bought. This is no big deal.

The problem is that I put 70k units of the omni in my stockroom. The person who bought the 100 omni for 1 said he also bought 70k of it for 100 creidts. He then went to town to sell the omni, another person asked to see it and he showed her the 70k of omni. She was curious how he got so much, and he told her the story. She came to my shop and asked me about it.

I checked my stockroom the omni is still there. But I am unable to retrieve the omni it just keeps trying to retrieve like it is lagged. I did put in a ticket for this, but thought I would bring it up here also. My concern is that he stole it and it really isn't in my stockroom or that it duplicated somehow. The guy did offer to sell it back to me for 200k, what nice guy

Welcome to the Well Known and Loved RESOURCES BUG.

Resources that are split down from their original quantities are bugged.

Say you split 1000 resources into 10 x 100 resources, and list all 10 on your vendor.

1 of those 100 units will actually hold all 1000 Units of resources, the other 9 will be bugged and can nenver be retrieved by you or a purchaser.. Whoever buys the 100 units with all 1000 gets the lot for the price of 100.. We call it Merchant Russion Roulette...

The only workround is to remove resources from the harvester in the quantities you wish to sell them at. Then they don't get bugged.

Basically Beware of any resources offered to you as they have probably been split...

The CSR WILL refund / replace any items stuck in Stockroom Limbo...

However after 7 days items decay out of the stockroom anyway.. So be quick

I sure hope that respond within 7 days then. I didn't know that it decayed in there either. That doesn't make any since.

So if you have stuff in your stock room you have to rotate it every 7 days or it is gone?

With CH being one of the predominantly rare profession choices outside of grinding the spotlight for bugs/exploits has been drawn away from it. My alt was master CH for a very long time. Despite my love for taming and being able to have the more vicious animals of the galaxy follow me around as pets I chose to drop the profession in order to use the skill points more usefully (lets face it...CH isnt the money making powerhouse it used to be). However...before doing so i released all of the animals i had stored and proceeded to track down creatures under the level 10 non-CH limit. In the end i had al datapad FULL of non-CH wild pets to call when i dropped the profession. Now, I know the Merchants have been crying for a nerf to everyone who does the same thing in thier profession and was wondering if this would be akin to thier headaches. How does the CH community view this?

Hmmm, interesting question. I'm only vaguely familiar with the objections the Merchants have voiced so can't speak to that. As for CH, though, I do think it would be taking unfair advantage. My thinking is that if you're going to drop a profession, you should lose all benefits/abilities that profession gives you as well. As a non-CH,a person is allowed 2 non-CH pets. Anything more than that is a benefit/ability that should be reserved solely for CH. If only merchants are allowed to have/use vendors then only merchants should have/use vendors. Seems that simple to me. If you don't have the profession, you can't use the profession.

As a non-issue that would cause most ex-ch's to just quit. While I agree with the Merchant/Vendor thing, You are a very rare exception. What do you plan to do with all those level 10 pets? Use and rotate them? Not very practical unless they are Uber BE creations. Even then, how is this different than keeping a ton of BE deeds? Ok, you do not have to get them trained and wait for them to grow. You going to sell them? lol I can have 5 level 19 droids that would go through all 22 of the things. When was the last time you saw a non-ch use a pet in combat? Most are pretty useless. Let the ex-CH keep their pets. This is neither an exploit or an issue. Unless you happen to have six vendors in your shop and zero Merchant abilities. lol Let me guess FOTM combat and FOTM crafting looking for a justification to keep them? lol You will not find alot of support here.

I have a thought. Make it so you can keep you vendors and they are useless. You, also will not be able to buy or sell anything because your are over your limit. Yeah, that would make it like a CH giving up skills and keeping the "benefits." Ok, you could sell things but not for more than 1k.

Oh, by the way, I have a character on Ahazi. Any chance we can meet up and I can see those 22 level 10 pets?

Never did say what your crafting profession was.... Let me guess, no that would be rude. I assume you are not a Master Merchant.

Enough said? I guess that one was rude. lol

this characters professions are in the sig, my alts however consist of 0 crafting profs. and the post you dug out of obscurity was a joke at the time. there were several threads created by new players asking how to get rich quick, without doing much of anything. so in a moment of humor i typed that one up. only one person was fool enough to take the bait tho. Why are my professions of importance again? and why are you taking this off topic? the question posed to everyone was whether or not this was outrageous enough to warrant a backlash akin to the merchants.

*shakes her head* No, you just did the smart thing and got usable pets before dropping the class. There's nothing wrong with that. The only negative side effect, and this is completely on how you view it, is the possibility that something you released could someday be extinct and you might be kicking yourself. But we go through that every day.
