Can anyone recomend a good pet to tank with while I grind up on rifleman? Anything with a ton of HP our a medium armor ranking out there? Thanks in advance.

Rancors are known to be good tanks, but most often BE pets can be very tough !

Look at kinetic res., and HAM stats.

I Mainly use a lvl 24 BE humbaba with 13k HAM and 40% kinetic res, works great with naffs

You can tame 5 or 6banthas as well : babyes are everywhere on Tatooine and adults are mostly level 17 with interesting HAM stats.

Take somme food, pet rez kits and stimpacks

There isn't anymore pet with medium armor, the best u can get is light armor with good kenetic resis.

Other than the rancor, u can also try arachne webmaster from endor. I personally replace all my hunting rancors with webmasters coz:

1. They have higher kenetic resis.

2. They flee less often than rancor.

3. They seldom get stucked and move with me unless I'm on vehicle.

4. They have strong poison which is a bonus dam output even though their max raw dam is 30 lower than rancor.

5. They are as common as rancor babies in dath.

Another suggestion is gurreck if u can find them in your server, I hardly see their babies nowadays, though I still perfer webmaster as a tanking pet above all.

I have been tanking with pets since I started this game well over 8 months ago. Without a doubt Mereks are the best tankers. I don't care if it's wild or BE. I have Bio Rancors/Gurrecks, etc. My Mereks take the heat. Last night on Endor i had 3 Web Masters on my delerious merek plus a couple of drones and he lasted long enough for me to kill them all and didnt incap.
