I always wanted to be MCH, but MBH took too many points, and as I'm sure most of you are aware, this is changing on Tuesday.

So the question is, what pets do MCH's use? Currently I am only 4/3/0/0 in CH so I can only use up to level 31. I have a few tamed pets and a few BE pets that suit me well, but what do you the Masters use?

I know this is a very broad question, so I'll try to get specific.

I mostly use my pets as tanks, so damage isn't that important, but at the same time it is.

The most important resistance to me is Kinetic.

Most of the time I try to find/use pets that have state effects that I cannot produce manually (Intimindate, Stun, Poison, Disease, etc.).

I'd just like to know a few of your opinions.

Your best bet is BE'd pets any day of the week. They are the ones with the best armor, resist, and HAM combo for your needs. As an MCH you would be able to handle a CL 70 pet, or any combination of animals up to but not exceeding 70 CL's. One pet is better than several as tanks as a general rule, unless you find a REALLY good BE. Just keep in mind that over-HAM'd low level pets could be nerfed at any time, so buyer beware.

I'm also assuming that 3 Pets and a high rating Combat Droid all grouped would be a great way to run missions for money?

If you have one CL 70 pet grouped or 3 pets that equal CL 70, you're going to get the exact same results on the mission terminals. If you add the combat droid to the mix I don't know what will happen if anything, since I don't use droids and don't know if they could toward mission levels. I think (?) Level 60 is the highest you can get though, and I can get those grouped with my pets and a 2-Handed Master friend of mine, and I have no combat ability to speak of at all, so the droid may be overkill at the terminal.

I actually find that two pets are better than one but that is an argument that has been going on for some time. I have a level 19 probot and with cl 70 pets out I could not get Screecher missions but I could when I called the bot. So, it adds to your missions.

I use two BE Narglatches. They are both ar1 and have 60% kinetic resists. I do PVE only for the most part. As a BH you might want to look into a BE pet that has high resistance to the most common attack you encounter. I will warn you that in PVP almost all pet stink. Be bets are you best bet however. There are some nice wild pets but they are so rare that you would not want to use them in combat untill they fix the vitality loss thing or at least explain it.

I mostly do PvE as well. Most of the time my pets are used for Janta or Mokk missions on Dantooine for credits. But I'll take them on quests and such, but I'm almost always using them for PvE

I use them all and having 20 pets and being able to switch to other creatures cuts down on the pet stems. For overall grinding I use my aracne queen clone that is in the body of an angler because of his resists and overall durability. Her name is Shiva and is one of my most trusted pets.
