Hey again all.

In my spare time when I'm board and all, I usually go out and look for non-ch level pets and then head to Mos Eisley and spread the little seed of CH to the n00bs that are logging in. I got to thinking that instead of fighting pets, the one thing these n00bs might want a mount instead. Granted you get the rental bike, but only good for 5 uses.

So I got looking on SWGcreatures.com and I found 3 mounts.

Lesser Dewback CL 9

Lesser Bol CL 10

Lowland Brackaset CL 10

I know dews and bols can be mounted, I've done these, but are the lowland Brackasets still able to be mounted, I thought I saw somewhere in a previous thread that this has changed, but can't for the life of me find it.

thansk for any help.

Yeah, the "Pet Trade In" program was designed to help non-CHs who lost control of their pets when the non-CH calling limit was lowered from CL 15 to CL 10. It takes your CL 11-15 pet and tries to find the closest non-CH body type match.

It can't create something that doesn't exist in the wild, though, so your results will vary for things like banthas and cu pas (since theyhave no wild variants of CL 10 or less).

And originally it was advertized as a way for people to trade in their pets without losing their good friends, so people thought that they could trade in their CL 15 animal and get a CL 10 animal of the same type. I know we all interpreted it that way. Unfortunately that wasn't quite what they meant, so you don't get back what you put in most of the time.

If I remember right, lowand brackasets (and their cousin, the plodding falumpaset) can no longer be mounted. I think the kaadu version is completely extinct, I haven't seen one in months.

I don't even remember what the non-CH kaadu was called, now that I think about it. A speckled kaadu or something like that? Honestly I think they pulled them so as not to take business from the BE's . . . like they need more . . . .

My non-ch char has a kaadu mount, I am not sure what you folks are stuck on. Just take any level mount and from your datapad drag and drop it on a creature handler trainer. It will come back to you as a level 10 non-ch usable mount. Works just fine on kaadu, although strangely when I did it with a bantha the tamer returned a lesser dewback labeled as object/intangible/pet/shared_bol_hue.iff in the data pad but named lesser dewback when called. Works just fine as a mount regardless of the screwy name change. I havent' done this with a brackaset or similar model but I assume it should work just the same. Maybe they'll get a bol too.

I meant to say the bantha came back as a lesser plains bol not a dewback. Sorry for the mix up.
