Sometimes when finishing up a mission lair, a boss critter will pop. It will be a different name than the regulars that have spawned, but usually a bit tougher to kill. I'm sure we have all seen this happen. Now, when you examine it, it always says it is tamable. Has anyone ever had a "baby" boss critter spawn? Or is this just because it's "cousins" in the lair were tameable. I guess if a baby did spawn, burst run, then go back and try to tame it, cause when he pops he is ticked off. Just curious about this. Good luck to all.

Probably a bug. I have never seen a boss baby spawn.

I recall that there was a bug in the Tamable tag. It always displayed Yes, for all creatures.

I guess you did neither. Did you see the name of the creature with "(baby)" included at the end?

The boss spawns indicate "Tamable: Yes", but I've never seen a baby, and because the boss spawns are allways aggro creatures and are on the attack from the moment they pop, it would be diffcult to get yourself detached and out of aggro state to tame it, even if it did spawn a baby.

The answer is, almost certainly, that the boss creature (baby) does not exist.

I do not think they exist NOW, but I know that at one time they did for at least a brief while. A friend of mine had one of the boss spider spawns off of Naboo (I honestly do not remember if it was a queen hermit spider or a king nightspider) and one other boss spawn off of there, I think one of the krevol models now that I think about it. This would have been back in August or September, if not even July, and he deleted them within a couple of days of getting them because they just weren't good pets compared to what else was available. I didn't even think to take screenies back then, because so many more animals were tamabale at that time and there was no reason to think that at some point they wouldn't be.
