: ^ )

Has anybody seen a Mire Marauder since patch? I think this whole "one baby for you players, two for us devs..." thing is rediculous. Ifa creature is below CL 70, then dammit, we should be able to have one.

Period.

End of story.

Mire Marauder is one such creature. The fact that it's resists (Kinetic & Energy both 55%) are better than a 10-levelhigher Bull Rancor (35/60) probably has something to do with it. But it's damage and HAM are both considerably less, so I think the whole system is more arbitrary nonsense than any logical approach.

But I digress

exactly, as we hear so many times from people who miss the point - 'a BE can make a better pet than that anyway' - so if a BE can make a better pet, why cant the marauder be a tameable... they obviously dont make these high resist pets tameble as so we dont stop going to BE's, but i really dont think it wouldnt make much difference to BE's if they did, do you?..

I don't do BE pets. The BEshave other purposes with their skills and I like the tame. I also enjoy learning the skills and abilities of what I tamed, not some monstrosity created in a lab. Yeah I'm giving up some powerful creatures but its a personal decision to use what I can get with my own skills.

Yes, BE petscan besuperior to anything that's under CL70, that's 100% fact - which is why I don't understand why we aren't allowed to TAME anything under CL70 - it makes no sense, and appears completely arbitrary. If the devs have a vision, I think it's pretty hazy.

BE pets will always be the way to go for powerful pets - nobody's disputing that.

What most of us DO dispute, however, is that there's ANYTHING below CL70 that's overpowering if given to a Master Creature Handler - that's just plain stupid.

All mobs at CL70 or below should be tamable and have baby spawns. Not that they should all be a dime a dozen, mind you, but they should all *exist.* Right now, there's no system in place at all - just a smattering of scraps to choose from.

Creature Handlers in my experience aren't griping for more power - we're griping for more pet variety (and no more of this arbitrary, "this one is ok, this one isn't" garbage when they're within our tamable CL), better pathing/pet movement logistics, and fixed commands - can anybody tell me the usefulness of a formation when you can't have more than two mediocre - or three lame - pets out at once? That's just one example.

We want fixes and increased variety, not game-busting power. C'mon devs, throw us a bone on this. It can't be hard to tell the code to pop a baby for a given mob.

So... has anybody seen a Mire Marauder since patch? Any "Tameable: Yes" news?
